And here I thought it was a new thread.

Would totally buy this day-one. Very underrated performance by Madonna. The film itself is largely a mess - but she really is funny as hell in this film.

Honestly, I didn't even realize it was her.
My friend, a Music Promoter, told me a while later...
I was pissed that he didn't tell me then... then I realized if he did, I wouldn't have been able to talk to her... I'd have been fawning/drooling over her and being too star-struck/creepy fan-boyish to talk...

I agree totally. Something Wild did the "wacky girl pulls a straight laced guy into her world" thing better, but WTG is still charming and hilarious mostly down to Madonna being adorable and charismatic.

I would totally buy it if Warner ever released it. There are worse movies with her out there (The Next Best Thing, Swept Away, Shanghai Surprise...)

So next year is the 30th anniversary ? i wonder if we will finally get my favourite Madonna movie on bluray ? It was the first film i ever saw in the cinema and i still love it to this day - it has a nice sweetness to it and the soundtrack rocks - i gotta say i hate the 5.1 mix on the dvd though ? the music was all at the front speakers but i prefer the original dolby stereo soundtrack on the laserdisc(Which i still have amazingly) we need all her music videos on blu-ray ? imagine how amazing bedtime story and bad girl would look in full HD ???

Just bumping this thread as we are now in 2017 and Warner archive seem to be releasing a lot of 80s titles at the moment ? Man With 2 brains(Yes ! ), Vision Quest(Yawn)

Also i just watched an amazon prime rip and it looks pretty good ? they have used a different print to the dvd but sadly it still has the awful opening credits with black bars at the top and sides ?? ? anyone know why they did this ? Its not like it on the full screen laserdisc(Which i still have

)
