yes - the 60G has the emotion chip that the PS2 ans PS1 had whereas the 80G will use software emulation, causing the 80 not to run quite as many prev. gen titles. Thats the only difference though as far as I know.

So yes... in a few months there will be no more 60 gig systems. Well guess what, the 80 gig/motorstorm edition is a LIMITED EDITION. Their 80 gig system probably has the same production cost within $20 from the 60 gig. At that point they will MOST LIKELY exhaust the 80 gig LE edition and release it by itself at $499.

So now Sony just reduced their 80 gig to $499 for the holidays. They look good. systems will sell. at almost no extra cost........

If you can't wait for this..... then buy the 60 gig.... otherwise don't complain amd sit tight and get an 80 gig system for the holidays for $499....
I said the same thing earlier in another thread in the videogames section...

people forget the motorstorm bundle with what is rumored to be the rumble controller...maybe 2 to justify the price a little more?...

but yeah, after the bundle is un-done...I'd expect that price to come down to 499 and then a legit price drop to 399 around Q4 of 2008...but that's just me estimating by how long the technology would be out for and the price needing to come down..
