And here's a bump to a one-year old thread. I would insta-buy this series on Blu-ray. I haven't seen it since it was on TV a decade ago but at the time it was one of the best mini-series I ever watched. Like an earlier guy posted, the first half is absolutely incredible television. I'm gonna give it a year or so before picking up the DVD set, or may just pick it up if I find it cheap somewhere. Really looking forward to rewatching this show.

would love a Blu-Ray of taken i thought one would exist by now! i have the box set an i watch it every year, i would love to see the VFX pushed even further the story is already perfect ^_^ still waiting 2013 is close hopefully we get some good news, ill buy a blu-ray player for my PC in a heart beat if it gets announced

2013 and still no blu ray.... i hate buying DVDs now days because most of them look like ass on my 50in 1080p plasma but i might have to just bite the bullet and get it on DVD because im not sure i can wait any longer its been YEARS!

any news on a blu ray yet guys before i go ahead and get this (its selling for around £10-£15 on DVD right now)?

Dakota Fanning, of course.

To me, this series seemed to kick off a bunch of series around that time, notably The 4400 but others as well, such as Invasion and then eventually Heroes.

This series made me aware of Joel Gretsch - I like him a lot - who then went on to star in The 4400 and the V reboot.

Bought this right away when it came out on DVD. Would buy it right away if it came out on Blu-ray.

I have been waiting patiently for this to be released on bluray for a while now. Please update this series and release it! It is an amazing production and would definitely be a great addition to any library.

Watching the series again this week on DVD. I'd love to retire the DVD set though, it really is a fantastic series with a strong cast of characters throughout. Fingers crossed for a blu-ray set.

It's not even available in HD for streaming as far as I know.

4400 is coming in Germany aug 24.

After watching it on an OPPO 4K Player and a Sony 4K TV, I can tell you that it could certainly use an upgrade! It is such a great story! I wish they would give it some HD attention.
