Get to Best Buy before Friday Nov 6th.

The line for Black Friday is already getting long at my local Best Buy.

I'm a Black Friday shopping master. I make specific list, power walk through the stores and and give what I'm looking for one sweep and then move on to the next. I used to pride myself on the skill.

I do most of my black friday online, since I work in retail and cannot take off black friday. Last year I got Transformers (9.99), Trading Places (8.99), Coming to America (9.99), Dreamgirls (8.99), Mad Men Season 1 (16.99), The Aviator (8.99) and The Untouchables (8.99). I hoping maybe Mad Men Season 2 and Weeds Season 4 are on sale. I know it's DVD, but I'm hoping for House Season 4 & 5 go on sale for $15 or less as well.

last yr the best deal I got was from Amazon ...Die Hard for about $7.00..

I got at least 20 movies in that week that surrounded Black Friday. That being said, it is probably going to be quite a bit different this year.

The deals on new releases right now are so good that it feels like BF already!

Wrong.

All Blu-ray discs will be $00.50 cents at B&Ms, Amazon will PM to $00.49 cents and all Criterion will be $00.60 cents.

Watch and see.

Just as long as The Bourne Trilogy is not higher than $50..I'll be happy.

Now as far as those cheap Amazon prices...damn...so much for getting FREE Super Saver Shipping.

A few recent movies will be heavily discounted. It would not surprise me to see Transformers 2 or one of the recent Disney movies to be very cheap. Usually a studio or two unleashes a cheap wave of budget titles under $10 at many retailers. Warner is a good bet to do this tactic. But media in general does not have the huge margins it used to have or the lure to shoppers. Expect good deals, but you are likely to get just as good deals by jumping on mistakes listed in the Hot Deals forum.

i predict Monster vs Aliens & Wolverine will be on sale
like kung fu panda & transformers last year.
i don't think they would put transformers 2 for discount.

Default Holy Thread Resurrection, Batman!

Well, it's interesting to see the prices 9 years ago...

(Also, this was just a couple months after I joined blu-ray.com!)

I was about to say how some of those prices were higher than I've seen on non sale days, then saw the dates of the posts. So sad that some of the movies I bought when Blockbuster was closing, which I paid $2 for and won't name, thinking "holy **** is this cheap", are not even worth that $2 now.

I didn't start going out for blus on BF until 3 years ago. I don't mind the line if the deals are good. I usually stick with WM and BB.
