All movies are worth double-dipping... eventually.
I think it really depends on how much you like the movie and whether the potential better audi and video would interest you on a given title. For me, the answer is "yes" across the board. That is why I have double-dipped on about 30 or more titles. |

Only title off hand I can think of is T2, the original was a mpeg 2 and 5.1 dolby, new one is a VC-1 I beleive and audio is uncompressed...
One's I would consider if they get improved are Goodfellas(Need uncompressed audio) and Unforgiven... I will not double dip just for special features, I will consider it if the audio is drastically better/or pq is better... Another one that could use a reissue is Gangs of New York...and Dumb and Dumber, both crap transfers... |

Transformers tru hd audio caused me to upgrade from DD+ hd dvd.
I passed on buying Quantum of the Solace after I seen what they did with the collectors edition of Casino Royale. I have all the Harry Potters on hd dvd but the blu ultimate editions are very appealing for a double dip. |

so far nothing has been worth double dipping for me-- I won't rebuy a movie just because there are more special features (like Casino Royale).
Terminator movies I deliberately didn't buy at first (along with Stargate) because they were very early releases and didn't get very good reviews. Since then I bought T2 Skynet and will be picking up the new Stargate soon without double-dipping ![]() |

![]() Why are you waiting for this movie?! Its released 1080p with a LPCM audio soundtrack!!! They have no REAL REASON right now!!! It includes a pretty good amount of supplements!!! Unless your thinking extended cut, and the deleted scences are not really good at all!!! It's Worth buying now and does not need a re-release!! Or wait till, 2016 for The Ten Year Anniversary or if the studio gets ballsy, 2011 for The 5 Year Anniversary!!! ![]() Its worth buying NOW, Gannet!!! ![]() Last edited by Mark Dogg 250; 11-23-2009 at 10:02 PM. |

i'm a huge audio nut. so for BDs that do not have lossless audio, i'll double dip no problem. i have a LOT of WB BDs for example that i'm selling cause lossless versions are coming (just like superman returns, 1st release was a lossy track, then a lossless truehd "proper" version).
afaik, fountain, alexander DC, happy feet, enter the dragon will all receiver proper lossless audio tracks =). |
