Im picking up Poltergeist no matter what. If pet semetary ever comes out it will have to be 20 bucks to get a purchase from me.

Uh,..yea! The only movie that actually scarred me as a kid. Would actually check my closet before I turned off the lights. Hope it looks good on Blu-ray. Sometimes the old movies actually suffer in HD.

Now that the original is coming to Blu-ray, when is Fox/MGM going to release Poltergeist 2 and 3 on Blu-ray? I hate it when a franchise is split up among various studios.

That little clown doll still freaks me out. Probably the first time I realized that clowns are creepy as all get out. I will definitely be buying this.

Actually the U.S. release date is October 14th. Releases never come out on Thursdays and Oct 9th is a Thursday.

Nonetheless people will be say "They're Here" on release date. I myself will probably rent it though. I do remember it scaring me as a kid.

Never got around to getting this on DVD. Though definitely plan on getting it on BD provided it's a solid transfer.

Mine just came in the mail today, i won't be able to watch until Sunday at the earliest maybe Tuesday. Damn work sucks all the fun out. Poltergeist and Beetlejuice showed up for warner.

I love 'Poltergeist' but Warner pulled the lossless audio from some titles even after publishing they will include one, so for now I would buy their blurays only after they are released with confirmed specs.

Is this supposed to have lossless?

Poltergeist was my one of my first big-time movie-going experiences, the first time I really went without adult chaperones. I saw it 5 times in the cinema. Great stuff!
