1) MASH ( Seasons 1 thru 5. After season 5 it was no longer a comedy) *sigh*

2) The Simpsons ( Seasons 1 thru 7. After Conan O'Brien left it ceased being funny at all) *sigh*

3) Night Court ( Without John Larroquette this show would have been average)

4) Drew Carey Show ( Caught this in syndication and fell in love with it)

5) WKRP in Cincinnati ( It's a damn shame that this show will never be viewed the same do to the hassle of obtaining the music rights to all of the songs played on it) *sigh*

EDIT -

And a honorable mention goes to Soap and Married with Children ( GOOOOOO BUNDY!!!).

3. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia

What about Alf I find it one of the funniest shows ever. Well at least people have Three's Company on their list.

I don't know if Entourage qualifies as a sitcom.

1. Arrested Development - No question, miles ahead of anything else
2. Cheers - A Classic, adapted well to the loss of two major cast members
3. South Park - At this point has been consistent for longer than The Simpsons
4. The Simpsons - Could have been maybe #1 if it had stopped after 10 seasons
5. 30 Rock - Could eventually be #2 but I doubt it will be on long enough to do so
Honorable Mention: It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The Office (US)

A lot of the best ones don't have laugh tracks--30 Rock, The Office, Community, It's Always Sunny, etc...
