The one item in the list that sticks out in my mind is the criticism of Panasonic Lumix cameras. I own three of them (FX-07, ZS-1, and ZS-3) and I can say without reservation that these are great cameras! The batteries are great, hold a charge for an impressive amount of time, and recharge quickly.

same here. i have 4 controllers in my house, 2 of them from launch day. they all hold a charge just fine. but regardless, the fact that you are able to switch out the batteries anyway makes this wreak of propaganda.

I already commented about this on destuctoid's website where they poke fun at it.

The PS3 battery can die, what he means is when it can't be recharged anymore.. Though you could always crack it open and switch out batteries, that's besides the point for common consumers though.

and it is not yahoo's article, the actual article is from Smart money, with a stupid video as well..

Oh and trust me, she has many more horrible articles, that she has been criticized for.

Been trying to find her email.. but no luck..

I did have one of my sixaxis die but I don't think it's related to the battery. It just won't sync up to my PS3 even when plugged in (it won't sync up to my old PS3 that was sent in to get fixed). I've tried all combinations of it being plugged in and turning the PS3 on and off. I just chucked it in the trash and bought a new dualshock.

It's annoying to see somebody talking about the PS3 like they know something about it when they clearly have no idea on the subject.

I've owned my PS3 for a good while now and the launch controller still lasts for a very long time and rarely needs charging, he must be a fanboy of another console.

I hope you tried to reset it first. I've had this happen after a firmware update.

I have a charge station for my controllers and I've never had a problem. I've had my remotes for over two and a half years. The person who wrote the article is a idiot. You would think they would do a little research before they give out false information.

Yeah,

The reason you don't want a slim is you CAN replace the hard drive and that just means more money Has to be spent. Hard drives are still not free which is why you likely don't want anything that uses them.

I only wish I could get a controller to last until the battery dies.

To be clear, the article is written by a woman, not a man. Please stop saying "he...", because it makes it seem like you didn't even read the article.

she hates the PS3 because the controller's rechargeable batteries don't last forever? more and more electronic gadgets are using proprietary and unchangeable batteries, she is in for a very disappointing life in the future if that's what she expects.

i'm sure her life has been disappointing for quite some time now, because she is attempting to exist happily without the almighty PS3. not possible.

human + PS3 = grand life.

human - PS3 = fail life.

at least she acknowledges it's all fun and games ("until the battery dies"...lol). Gender shouldn't really matter, but let's be honest - gaming is still dominated by guys
