This poll is already inaccurate... Elvis clicked on number 4 when he meant to click on number 5...

{because there wasn't an option for 'not liking any movies that have come out after 1983'}

#3

In the last 3 years...I mostly remember coming out disappointed from a movie theater. I guess since most of the movies I go to, I only go to please friends...Most of my friends won't pay to see something like Zodiac or Benjamin Buttons or Memento.

Sometimes I really do love action and fun flicks but they ware out after one day of thinking about it. Writing really is important...or at least uniqueness.

If a film was made after 1928 it sucks!

I think this is a good idea for a poll, but I'm not sure I can pick one of the five options. I enjoy a lot of films but I'm also very critical. I watch a wide variety of films, but at the moment I'm focusing more on classics and foreign films, many of which I've found to be very good.

My decision is option 3. I usually criticize movies if I think the director was too lazy to make the movie better. I like Michael Bay but I thought he could've done a better job on Transformers 2.

I went 50/50, I would of gone 75% but many of my friends think I hate everything which is not true, I do come down critical on some movies, but even then I find something good within it, for example Paranormal Activity is a steaming pile, but it tries something new and it tries to be effective and there is some cool stuff in there which some higher budget films wouldn't.

I chose Option 2. I am rarely critical on a whole, i'm more critical about the little errors and mistakes that crop up during films. Although nowadays, I am much more critical towards transfers and am unhappy with even the slightest EE, DNR etc...

I am an option 2. I have some guilty pleasure movies, but at the same time, I can be critical on occasion.

I enjoy most of the movies I watch in some form or other. There are some that are unwatchable and will never consider seeing it again.

Great to see so many people chiming in so quickly. I figured the #3 option (50/50) would get the most run, but for now, it seems that the majority of people enjoy most of the movies they watch. Of course, the poll will stay open.

I chose option 2. I can enjoy almost any film on some level, just look at some of the films in my collection. You should really see my DVD list.

Since I love movies so much I feel I am very critical of them. Now that doesn't mean I cannot watch a movie that does not garner the highest ratings from me. Usually I can find at least one or two things I like in every film. A film doesn't have to be a so called classic for me to watch it over and over as there are many movies I find that are not great but find myself giving them repeated viewings.

I place myself between 3 and 4. I am highly critical, but I can endure a horrible film and still enjoy it just for that reason. I can sit down and watch horribly done Sci-Fi or Horror movies, but laugh at them. On the other hand, I can determine between a good film and a great film. I have high interest in going into the film industry, so it is vital for me to understand quality film-making and to know what not to put into a film.

Time is too precious to be wasted watching bad movies.
Also I don't care to watch many of the critically acclaimed titles if they don't interest me. As you can see, in my world, everything revolves around me. Should it be any other way?

I went with 3 but I'm pretty critical. I have to be in the right mood to watch some of them.

Number 4 for me. I usually don't watch a movie out of curiosity anymore. G.I. Joe and The Cleaner (with Samuel L.) ruined that type of behavior. I have to hear great word of mouth or have a bevy of awards for me to attempt to watch it. I don't really have as much time as I used to and I'd rather watch a great film I've heard good things from everyone about than take a chance on a polarizing film. Even so, this strategy doesn't always work. Pixars' Cars was one of these.
