Yeah, Nintendo made a killing off of me in the early/mid 90's.

What about Nintendo 64 when some new games cost $70? That was the main reason I bought a Playstation over a N64. The Playstation games were usually $50 and that was a lot easier to afford when I was around 14. I will say Goldeneye was worth any amount of money though. 4 player Goldeneye is my favorite video game of all time.

Had them both but gotta go with SNES.

Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, Illusion of Gaia, Donkey Kong Country 1 & 2 and better versions of Mortal Kombat II and Super Street Fighter II. Nuff said

However the six button Genesis controller was superior to the SNES controller.

goldeneye and perfect dark!!!

i remember when me & my buddies played perfect dark the 1st time and realized you could have "drones" or whatever to fight against and then have turrent guns you could throw out and would be automatic when people walked by.

then proximity mines!!!

i wish my 64 still worked!!!

SNES all the way!

I did like a number of Genesis titles though, such as Skitchin', Toe Jam & Earl, Mutant League Football/Hockey, Road Rash, and I also preferred the uncensored Mortal Kombat versus the SNES version.

But the SNES featured some of my all-time favorite games: Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Contra 3: The Alien Wars, Super Mario World, Super Castlevania IV, Street Fighter II: Turbo, Super Mario Kart, and many many more.

And what you got for that wasn't nearly as much as you get now.

multiplayer, single, maybe some mess around game modes.

But I owned both and even though sega had some great games. It couldn't keep up with the enormous amounts of good games that were on SNES.

genesis but it's all about preference. if you like kiddie games, SNES is for you! =p (stab stab poke poke) lol

genesis is near and dear to me because it was the first system i bought on my own. i scored a summer job landscaping, paid like $5/hour? lol bought a genesis+road rash, I LOVED IT!! i was proud of snatching away the chains/batons then beating them off (oops).

sega had better commercials IMO "say it...say it......SEGA!!"

I actually downloaded Donkey Kong Country onto my Wii... good times!

SNES all the way, I can count on one hand the number of my friends who had a Sega with one hand and still have enough fingers left to... well... you figure that one out.

Damn, I had both and it is really hard to choose. SNES probably had more titles that I played but both had some top notch games.

Herzog Zwei - one of the best games ever!!!!
Ghoul's N Ghost
Golden Axe
Space Harrier 2
Strider
Thunder Force II
Phantasy Star II
Streets of Rage

Super Metroid (One of the most amazing gaming experiences ever.. best use of Michael Jackon's voice acting).
Demon's Crest
Super Tennis (best tennis game ever.. Wagassi!)
Star Fox
Contra III Alien Wars (best contra game by far!)
Super Castlevania IV
Donkey Kong Country
Legend of Zelda:Link to the Past

SNES! It is actually my favorite system (PS2 right behind). So many good games and memories attached to that system:

Final Fantasy II (IV)
Final Fantasy III (VI)
Chrono Trigger
Ogre Battle
Super Metroid
Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
Mario Kart
Castlevania IV
ActRaiser
Soul Blazer
Secret of Mana
Super Mario World
Super Star Wars series
Super Street Fighter II

Excellent system
