The movies in these packs suck, and the PQ and AQ sucks as well.

Currently,

Hollywood Video has a used sale on Blus for (in my case) $5.24 shipped.

That's $52.40 for 10 movies and some of them are actually good.

(Sale is pretty much over though.)

Actually,... they aren't like used condoms at all.

They are more like used Blu Rays in perfect condition. Some are not even used but actually new.

I can relate to only buying new though... But there are some amazing deals for used stuff that's in perfect condition. I find stuff at Newbury Comics for example just like new but less than half the price.

I got 4 Blus in the mail today from Hollywood Video and they all look brand new and play without any trouble. (And they were $5.24 each shipped.)

I will second this, I have both of these movies (as well as Mortuary and yes its that bad) and both are great movies. You could buy the set and use all the other titles for trade in value though... Like Blockbuster up here runs $10 min. trade in every once in a while.

Please let me know if you're movies come in blu-ray cases or dvd cases. I work at a Hollywood Video and we do sell a few used blu-rays but they are in dvd cases (because they're lockable.)

actually Angel in the Family isn't too bad a movie, mostly because it is a Christmas themed film and I do have a penchant to collect them (if you've never seen a sweet little-known Christmas movie called If You Believe, find it and watch it next Christmas). But I think that would be the ONLY time of year you could stand watching it since any other month would probably cause you to blow chunks. As for the rest of those bogus blus......they wouldn't even be good enough to qualify for the Razzies.

No love for The Salem Witch Trials?

I've actually been looking for a review of that online... no one seems to actually own it.

Mysterious Island was very good, just watched it recently. Patrick Stewart can bring the value of any film up to acceptable levels.

Mine came in new Blu Ray cases. I think they bought new cases because they usually have the stuff in DVD cases.

Everyone in the thread about the HV sale in the hot deals section also mentioned getting the used Blus in new Blu Ray cases.

For what I imagine was a "made for TV" movie, I enjoyed it!

I love how it plasters "ROBIN WILLIAMS" in huge letters over the packaging to try and lure a few unsuspecting buyers.
