Yea I see your point. It would seem to make more sense of putting a film in B&W that has that type of setting then a modern film. I still may give it a try but Im sure I will prefer color better though. Got Em!!

Really? I loved the aftermath and wanted to see what would happen to those corrupt pigs and the murderer. I think if it wouldve ended like u said there would have been to many "I wonder what happened to them" questions. Got Em!!

fair enough. i could already see it happening, so being shown what i have already predicted is just never enjoyable to me personally. some will want to see it, despite predicting it. so i may be the minority here.

Scott was EXCELLENT. Saw in junior high and scared the hell out of me. If you get a chance I think it's worth a view.
the changeling is outstanding....what is your name?.... Joseph

I loved Changeling - BUT I do think it is about 15-20 minutes too long to be honest.

But although I LOVE Angelina Jolie, I do not think Kate Winslet should have NOT won the Oscar. Very good performance (although I prefer her performance in Revolutionary Road).

True but its the look on their faces and the atmosphere of that I want to see. Like the scene when she went to the prison to see the murderer. Things like that is needed to be seen. But yea Im sure we all knew that the department was gonna get it but the reality of their faces and so fourth is priceless. Got Em!!

What do you mean you can't do Black and White???? Some of the greatest films of all-time are in black and white, and no thats not just my opinion. So you mean to tell me you've never seen a Jimmy Cagney movie, or Casablanca, or the original Rebel Without a Cause? It's like subtitles, after 5 minutes you don't even notice anymore, and just love the acting and characters and stories.

I've gotta disagree here. I don't think it would have improved the movie at all if it were shot in black and white. The faded, muted color palette that was worked with I think is very effective.

As for the Mist, it is meant to be seen in color. Ebert made a great point about this by saying that unless a movie is shot in black and white, it should be seen in color. The reason for this is that shooting in black and white forces the director and cinematographer to consciously make certain choices based on it being shot in b and w. Shooting in color and then simply converting to black and white is completely uneffective. An example is when you take pictures on a camera in color but then change it to black and white on the computer--there's a reason it doesn't work well.

Haha, they are before everyone's time born before 1950. I was born in 1985 and I LOVE them.
