I doubt there's a lossless track for this movie anyway, popular child fantasy movie or not.

I highly doubt that's gonna happen at all, actually. Those big boxes with the physical trinkets appear to only be releases of what WB considers "classic" or historically important films.

We're talking about The Goonies here. It's just another catalog title. A popular catalog title for sure, but not "box worthy".

Smile What are the Spcieal Features on the UK Blu-ray Version?

What are the Special Features on the UK Blu-ray Version? Also, is the movie longer and if so did they just insert the deleted scenes (Like the Conveinence Store & Octopus Scenes) or is there a different cut all together?

It's the theatrical cut. Same extras from the DVD.

The term "ultimate" and "collectors" have been thrown around on DVD and BD for many years, and usually it refers to the extras that are on the disc.

But you never know. WB might have something special planned for the 25th anniversary.
Honestly I hope that's all this is a 2-disc collector's edition and not some $70 box set w/ some dumb shelf clutter items. I think the should include a coupon in every copy for a free Baby Ruth though.

Unless WB springs for a new transfer, I don't see any reason to replace the UK disc. It's looks and sounds great and has all the extras from the DVD.

I just hope the Video Commentary is still on the BD. It was pretty neat being able to see the cast talking instead of just hearing them.

I have the UK import. Worth the purchase. Goonies in HD is saweet!

I will pick up the USA release if it's good. I would love for it to have a LENTICULAR slip of some sorts, inside a box/tin with some props from the movie. Like some have said. Would be really sweet.

Is this confirmed?

They need to put out the cut that has the quickie mart and octopus scenes in it.
