I got a code and figured it must be fun.

I downloaded the demo but it seemed like 0% fun.

I suppose I'll try it again but I couldn't get anywhere with it. Seemed to me you HAD TO build a custom track first thing before you could even try it. I just wanted to know if it was fun to play,.. not ready to start building stuff for it.

There are two "pre-made" tracks that you can play. They're not right next to each other and I think you even have to scroll down one page to get to the first but you don't have to build a track to play. That would suck. I for one can't wait for this to be released on both platforms.

Tried out the demo today.... and it seemed fun. I would be interested to see the final build of the game and the custom track tool. Seems like a good game for traveling and stuff for my psp. Maybe I will grab it once it hits the Playstation store.

IGN review

7.0 Presentation

There’s no flair to how the game is setup –- just similar-looking menus. Meanwhile, there are plenty of creation options and the game runs well while you’re doing some detailed build

7.0 Graphics

Some of the levels are really detailed with trees, buildings, and so on. However, the created characters all seem a bit blurry and the online profile images aren’t crisp.

7.0 Sound

There are some songs and such, but there’s not too much going on. The announcers sound good.

7.0 Gameplay

It’s a decent kart racer with some awesome creation features. You’re going to have some fun, but there isn’t really a sense of speed, the weapons aren’t that great, and driftin

7.5 Lasting Appeal

There’s a ton to unlock, creating tracks is fun, and the constant stream of free, user-created content is appealing. Still, the racing just isn’t that great.

7.4 OVERALL

Finally, I can buy a new game for my Go!

I am also going to pick up the new Prince of Persia game tomorrow.

Are there any active members that have picked up the PSP version of Modnation Racers yet? I'm wondering if it is plagued by terrible load times, too. If not, the other "problems" could be overlooked for a fun-on-the-go experience....
