Found a few more that I had, I really liked these LCD games. Always got one or two for birthdays and Christmas. Wish I knew what happened to all of them. So far the Donkey Kong DS is all I've found. Nintendo had the best, but Radio Shack also had quite a few good ones

You got me thinking, Rob. I knew I had another handheld football game in addition to the Mattel in the OP. I found it.

I also remember playing this one with a friend (his game, not mine).

I'm heading back to my Mom's for her 80th B-Day party next weekend, and I think I'll search the place for these games. She doesn't get rid of anything!

For me, it was this

Astrowars released by Grandstand in NZ in the early 80s.

It was a knockoff of Galaga, maybe thats why Galaga is one of my all time favorite Arcade games after Bubble Bobble , and probably because I consider myself relatively good at both.

Re: the Game & Watch, I remember a Mickey Mouse & Donald Duck handheld, where they were firefighters putting out a fire, I didnt own it personally, but a friend in school let me play it often, I wouldnt mind picking one up but not for $60 bux, I like nostalgia, but not that much

I remember that game well.

I'm still trying to find a picture of a baseball game I had, but I can't remember who made it. It was a two player game, but had a cover over the fielders hand so you couldn't see what pitch he chose. Is it sad that I liked these games so much?

I remember Astro Wars. And If you want to try the Mickey Mouse game again, this site might have it.

I really don't care what anyone says Nintendo is the king of hand helds. the Game Boy from 1987 is the god father of the hand helds. I have a green one it works but I never play it though haha. my favorite game on it was Tetris and Mario Land.

In the meantime, I located a picture of the my retro handheld that came with 2 wired controllers that fit inside it...this was the coolest thing I had ever seen at the time:

I remember playing a Hockey game with those!

That's one I never played. I have been looking to add it to my collection though. The prices on it and the other Coleco arcades are ridiculous though. If you have one in a closet and don't use it, sell it on e-Bay and buy yourself a Blu-ray player with your profits.

Or send it my way.

I didn't have any of the really retro hand helds, but I played the consoles (Commodore 64, Atari, Intellivision). I did have the B&W Original Game Boy, then I had the Limited Edition Ice Blue Game Boy Pocket, then the Game Boy Color, but I played my Game Gear more than any of the Game Boys, but did,'t that thing take like 6 AA batteries at a time?!
