This is definitely true. Especially on a Tuesday when there are multiple releases.

Oh, are you talking about the cardboard (or sometimes plastic) that sometimes covers the plastic wrapped case?
I throw that part out. Don't want to have to pull that off and slip it on every time I watch a Blu Ray or DVD.
Usually the slipcover is the same as the picture on the Blu Ray box itself, so there really is no need for the slip cover at all once I pull it off. I also remove the cellophane and the protective tape and throw those out as well. Then I am left with the nice Blu Ray case that protects the disc from the elements.

I throw all my slipcovers away too. They're pointless.

I would hope so... it's kind of hard to watch a movie when it's still sealed inside the case.

I guess that would be an interesting poll... while i'll admit that they're annoying, I see them as part of the set, and not as superfluous packaging to be discarded!

To each his own.

If every single Blu-Ray came with one I'd consider keeping them, but since only random Blu-Rays come with slipcovers my shelf would look really stupid with every 3rd or 4th movie having a slipcover.

I picked up a few of those myself.
Law Abiding Citizen
Cabin Fever
Black Dynamite

Also ordered from Amazon:
Casino
Twister
Heathers (for the wife)
Hunger
The Hunt for Red October

May I ask the reason you spent the extra money on the 20th anniversary of Goodfella's since it's the same old disc that was already released? I too love digibooks but couldn't justify it

Bill

The worst part about Tuesday is that Tuesday night is not nearly long enough to watch all my new BDs!

Yeah this turned out to be quite the week:

Cabin Fever
Goodfellas 20th Anniversary Edition (never owned the first version, and liked the digibook and extra disc)
Halo Legends (Best Buy Steelbook)
Hunger
Law Abiding Citizen
Lola Montes
Revanche

I already have the UK Ran and Contempt discs from last year (which are basically identical to the US releases today) - otherwise those would have been purchased today as well. Considered Ladykillers, maybe some other time. Did order 'A bout de souffle' (Breathless) from Amazon.fr, that's a new StudioCanal release that came out today.

This seems like a bragging thread to me. Lets get on and show how many movies one can buy in a single week. Is there really any other point? Not tryin to hate, just an observation. I really didn't see any movies worth buying this week but maybe those criterions would be worth a looksee.
