Yes, that would be fun in a Walmart, hostage taking, and showing all their stuff on sale!

I'm down for another Die Hard but please OH PLEASE don't neuter it to get a PG13 rating. LFODH was SOOOOOOOO much better in it's original uncut form because it captured the essence and personality of McClane. Hopefully the lame Fox execs that forced the change learned their lessons and will not meddle with DH5.

Considering LFoDH brought in $400M from the box office and $100M in home media sales in its first 9 weeks just in America....I highly doubt they think they "failed" last time.

I'm going to have to disagree with you on that, especially the third film (especially the flood in the tunnel scene). Fine that you didn't like it and thought it did not feel like a Die Hard; I happen to have the opposite opinion. I liked it a lot (second best) and look forward to more.

Getting more extravagant is fine by me. The fact that he keeps getting caught up in these situations is already ridiculous enough, why not go further

I think it should be R though.

4 made him basically a superhero. In 1,2,3 he's just an everyman that terrorists are terrorizing. Sure it gets old but it's what makes the Die Hard movies fun cheesy fun. I mean sure they're not that realistic, but it's believable. 4 wasn't.

That's how I feel too. Die Hard 1 worked especially because it was in a contained environment...John McClane vs terrorists in a single skyscraper, unable to escape without fighting his way out and more importantly to him, unwilling to escape without the woman he loves. Die Hard 2 was similar by setting the terrorist plot in the confines of an airport. 3 expanded it to an entire city, and 4 to basically the entire country at which point I felt the Die Hard feeling completely evaporated. Now with Willis saying 5 will be around the world?....well, sigh.

and his reluctance to do things as well. It's always a last minute though, in 4 it's different. I laughed my ass off when Bruce was in the ****ger costume. Samuel L Jackson did a great job with that scene.

As long as he actually says "Yippie Kai Aye Motherf***er!" instead of having part of it being edited out by a gunshot. Not even the unrated LFODH said it and that pissed me off!

People say that 4 made him into a superhero but I say anything beyond the first is already there. In the first film, we felt his pain and we weren't sure he was going to make it. After turning it into a franchise, he may as well be Arnold Schwarzenegger. I'm not complaining. I enjoy the franchise and I'll agree that it has been escalating in terms of unbelievability but only gradually as sequels tend to do. We might have to disagree on this but I think DH with a Vengeance had a high level of ridiculousness that negates any criticizing of 4 if you take 3 seriously.
