For the most part I tend to be pretty picky with what I buy but I'm not good at passing up a good deal. I'll buy almost anything sub $8 if it's a half way decent flick. That being said though, there really isn't anything on my list I couldn't sit down and enjoy, there are some that may get limited playing time though.

My top choices though:
Iron Man
Band of Brothers

Incredible Hulk
Transformers (both)
Dark Knight
Fast And Furious (still need 2/3 though)
I Am Legend
Pan's Labyrinth
POTC 1-3
Star Trek
Zombiland

lol, I tried to put those in order of favorites but I just couldn't do it. Iron Man and BoB is as far as I got! Not sure what it is about Iron Man but I seriously could finish the movie and start it over then watch it again the next day! I just don't get tired of it.

I don't know, it's more than just being picky though.

For instance: I loved Requiem for a Dream. But I can't bear to watch that anymore, it's just too dam depressing. Yet I love American Beauty. It's equally sad at the end, yet I can't wait to get that one in my collection. To me it's just a "better" film.

For some reason Blu Ray, to me, just commands excellence. I got the HDTV, the blu-ray player (ps3) , a modest 5.1 setup.. I'm not going to waste it on some cheap floozy of a film (even though i like the film), if you know what I mean. So there's that too. Who knows. Maybe i'll change my mind one day.

Same here. It was THE first movie I bought, and the main reason I bought our first JVC VCR in 1980 for the bargain price of $1300 - it had "piano key" controls and didn't even have a wireless remote. I'm trying to count all of my versions of 2001, but I'm not sure if I enough fingers and toes.

I love that film and would buy it day 1. I also think that is Kevin Spacey's best movie.

I can do that!
1 x VHS
2 x Laserdisc (Criterion CLV + MGM CAV box set)
3 x DVD (original MGM non-anamorphic POS, WB "SK Collection" and the last WB release [has the same cover as the Blu-ray])
1 x Blu-ray (so far )

I kind of feel that way about all my blus too. I can watch any of them at any time and be satisfied. The first one that immediately came to my mind though was 'Ip Man'. I think that's my most replayed film, yet I'd watch it again at the drop of a hat. Don't have a problem watching any of my movies again though.
