Still its a good myth to be told.
I actually think that would be a fantastic sequel to Troy, seriously doubt it'll ever happen though. It's been far too long since I've seen a recent movie with Sean Bean wielding a sword.

I definitely don't want to see Sean Bean being a part of this. I picture the Odyssey being told without famous actors/actresses.

Very Fine performances in Troy
Good story and performance by J.P. in Gladiator
Lots of mindless violence in 300 (in that order)

I disagree, with the word of mouth that Clash of the Titans is getting, I would say the highest gross domestically will best around the $160M-$170M, below 300 and Gladiator but I'm pretty sure it will top Troy. As for worldwide remains to be seen.

1) Gladiator - No contest, best movie out of the 4.

2) 300 - An entertaining movie that gets a bad rap most times.

3) Troy - Ugh. What a disgrace to the Illiad. I love the Illiad too much to enjoy this movie.

4) Clash of the Titans - Original was great (though cheesey). Remake was all around disappoiting.

2/4 isn't bad

The Odyssey would make for an excellent movie if done correctly (not like Troy). To be quite honest, I would love to see a 'reboot' of Troy - one that is more faithful to the Illiad, and then follow it up with the Odyssey. The Illiad is such a great story, and there is no reason to muck with it as bad as Troy did.

Its already at about $110M domestic in 2 weeks, there's no way it drops off that much for the rest of its run.

3D ticket prices will help ease the fall a decent amount.

It'll most likely hit those numbers by mid-week next week.

I don't agree with that, I thought he played the role of the sissy and spoiled prince quite well.

This is a battle of financial wits, not quality (looks like 300 beat the bunch)

300 made about 210 million domestically, Gladiator made about 188 million, Troy made about 133 million and Clash of the Titans has made about 92 million. Looks like Troy flopped.
Gladiator sold by far the most tickets, and none of the films flopped.

My scores for them would be as follows:
300: 6/10
Troy: 3/10
Gladiator: 9.5/10
Clash of the titans: 5/10

Not a big fan of any of these films. But if I had to choose 1 of the 3...it'd be "Gladiator" by a long shot...

Gladiator
Troy
300

I haven't had the opportunity to watch Clash of the Titans yet, but I like those types of movies, so i'm sure i'll like it a little bit at least.

When looking at these types of movies, I think you can also throw in Alexander (the final cut, which I enjoyed A LOT) and Kingdom of Heaven.
