Yeah I really hope the new deal brings better ratings to Terriers. Maybe they can even change the name of the show or advertise it a lot better for the 2nd season if it get's picked up. I also think Fringe will get picked up for a 4th season as Fox knows Thursday is a bad time slot for the show and they seem to really like Fringe and have confidence in it.

Yeah if Fringe goes I only Bones, Glee, Raising Hope and House which I guess is actually a lot of Fox shows actually so it wouldn't affect how I watch Fox.

Yeah I don't think I've ever dropped a show before after I had started watching it unless I knew it wasn't coming back for sure. Still really enjoy Bones and House but Glee has changed a lot since the first half of season 1.

I've dropped many shows after 6 season into them, if they bore me, I'm no longer interested or the show is just so repetitive that there is no reason for me to keep watching.

Yeah I can see that as a lot of shows start to get repetitive. I just remembered I did stop watching CSI after Grissom left.

I agree. First off, Glee is already Fox's most popular (non-reality) show, so why does it need more exposure? In addition, Glee doesn't exactly attract the same target audience as the Super Bowl, whereas The Chicago Code is exactly the kind of show the Super Bowl audience would tune in to. I just don't understand why a network would give the year's most-coveted time slot to an established smash hit.

Especially since it's not like Glee caters strongly to the football audience, lol. It's bad enough we have to deal with pure shit half time shows with Miley Cyrus or whoever just won american idol, but this is just poor planning.

The networks have forgotten how to market shows, with a few exceptions. The problem ends up the networks pick the show they think will be a hit and market the heck out of it, while other shows that may be better that the "hit" get lesser marketing budgets and end up failing. It is a tough deal for the lesser shows. And networks wonder why no one is watching their shows, it is because you have destroyed them through your horrible marketing.

Yeah Raising Hope would have been cool after the superbowl but I think this show would have been perfect for post superbowl slot and would really help it out.

Anyways.. hopefully show does well. I'm still thinking it may have been a better fit on cable. |

I'm in limbo right now because Time Warner's contract with Sinclair expires at the end of this year; unless something's in place by then, as a subscriber, I could lose the local FOX and ABC affiliates from my lineup. It goes without saying that I'm not happy with these negotiations (which have been ongoing since last month).
![]() It doesn't affect me significantly (I can always watch them online or through torrents), but other subscribers may be seething at the possible loss of ABC, as they carry most of the games for a well-known Big Ten football team. I think it's little more than grandstanding on both sides, and a deal will be hammered out before then, but it's likely to result in another jump in my cable bill, which is already high. I digress..... I'll find a way to catch this show. |
