The boycott of any internet forum of movies that are about to leave anyway does nothing. You're just missing out on a great movie
movie looks super lame dude, who cares what these critics say

they said superman returns was amazing, ha, what a joke

Just buy tickets to the Superbad, and then go see whatever you wanna see...
I've been doing this to all the Universal movies this year.

Default Sticky boycott list?

It would be nice if we had a sticky list, maybe updated weekly, of new releases to boycott in theaters for Universal, Paramount and Dreamworks. The tone shouldn't be that those are movies we will never see but movies we will watch once those studios come to their senses and start supporting Blu-ray to meet the choice of customers (us!).

I'm not a longtime power user on this forum but maybe a well recognized poster could start something like that. We already have sticky posts for the Blu-ray releases to buy, it would be nice to have a list of movies to avoid (for the time being) without having to do a studio search all the time.

Unless you can get about 100,000 people to go with you, and publically protest at their local theaters and suncoasts. They will not care about the handful on this forum, and very likely wouldn't care about the bad press because the news would make you look like a nutbar

Seriously you are wasting your time

Stardust is a great movie! Do not boycott Neil Gaiman! He is a god!
Just don't rent/buy it, and try to get matinee prices.

From the box office numbers, it looks like many people are boycotting these already.

Should be easy, Stardust did not interest me and I saw Hotrod the first time it came out...when it was called Happy Gilmore.

I had no interest in either of the these 2 movies anyway.

Sony should remove the trailers from the Playstation Store..lol

This is getting ridiculous, I'll continue to support Blu Ray but Hot Rod was a damn funny movie thats a must own in my collection. I'm pretty pissed this happened but I wont deny a good movie when I see one just because of a format war.

Wouldnt be hard for me, when my wife and I were in the theatre watching Transformers, we saw the preview for both and we werent impressed. Ive heard some good feedbacks from friends about Stardust, nothing really positive on Hot Rod. But for a movie we didnt have an interest to begin with, we would just wait on DVD or when its on one of the movie channels at home.

Actually, I saw Stardust a couple weeks back, I was surprised how original and all-encompassing the movie was... no open-endings, just a one movie package, a nice change for once. Disappointed that it won't be on Blu-ray, for now...

I wasn't going to see Stardust but then realized Neil Gaiman wrote it so I may give it a try if I have time. It has good reviews and could certainly be very good.

I wasn't planning on seeing either flick, so now I can use my support as an excuse not to ever watch them lol.
