Awesome, thanks. I also just now found it on IMDB stating the same as well. Very good news.

Yeah, I would watch this over 90% of what comes out of Hollywood today. Maybe not 90%, but at least 75%.

Corman realizes something that a lot in film today seems to have forgotten. An entertaining story is worth more than a bloated budget, formulaic film. I wouldn't call his films masterpieces, but most of them are at least entertaining.

Does anyone know if this Blu version is going to be uncut? as far as I know the only way to get the uncut DVD was from Japan.

Thanks, now that is great news, just wish walmart or Best Buy would carry the Corman titles, all these stores are online only, none on the shelves

Default humanoids from the deep 8/3/10

Let tell all of you right now that this film's picture quality isn't going to blow you away at all because there are a few spots where the picture is really fuzzy unclear. one bad spot is where the girl runs out from the tent onto the open beach by the water it's very fuzzy unclear so be alarmed by this issue when you watch it. I give this movie a rating on a scale of 1-5. my rating is a 2 because of the poor picture quality in that one area of the movie.

You mean to tell me this low budget movie from 1980 isn't crystal clear with a razor sharp image. Who would've guessed?

If Jess Franco ever has anything released on Blu-Ray you probably should stay clear of those too as he has out of focus shots in most his films.

Most of the picture is pretty clear but just that one spot with the girl running out of the tent and onto the beach, that's about the only bad part that is really fuzzy. I am surprised that other people haven't come across this mostly the studio itself. The beginning is a little jumpy but overall I would say that yes the picture isn't crystal clear, but we need to remember that considering that this movie is very old I still think that this movie on blu-ray isn't bad, it's not great but its ok. The movie is watchable but like carrie(Sissy Spacek) we have to be careful because these are old films and let's remember that the equipment that they use to transfer it to isn't very good even though they claim it's the best out there.

You should watch the making of Humanoids from the Deep, it's interesting that they hired a woman director but didn't like the way the film turned out, so they hired a second unit director to reshoot the rape scenes and add more gore and kill scenes in the movie.

This is one big bump, but is anyone aware of this title going OOP? I can't find any on Ebay and those on UK Amazon Marketplace are very expensive. According to my price history on Amazon UK it's been creeping up for about a month now. Is it just a temporary stock shortage, while Shout press more, or something more?

It's still readily available on Shout's site, so I don't think it's going OOP. Maybe Amazon just isn't ordering more?
