Default How Deep are your pockets ?

So, you want a Pre-Amp or Receiver that uses the new HDMI 1.3 spec's for your BDP-S1 (and you already have a 1080p SXRD Display) ?

No problem ! If you want it NOW, dig deep into your pockets and shell out for the newly released Lexicon MC-12 HD . It has either 6 or 8 HDMI 1.3 compliant inputs and One HDMI 1.3 compliant output. It will decode and play Dolby Digital-HD, dts-master HD, Uncompressed Audio, along with every other cinema and music audio format. How much for this sweetheart ? It will set you back over $ 12,000.00 . Now I have to amplify my Revel Speakers. Lexicon's (too be released at CEDIA) new ZX-7 will work! 7x300watts for a mere $ 8,000.00 . Looks like I'll mortgaging my home around Christmas time or the first of the year !!!! At least I drive a sensible car.

Hooked on Quality . . . . .

Jim

That's a downpayment on a pretty nice HOUSE where I come from!

That's going to be an amazing piece, though. Lexicon usually is...

If I start saving now I should almost be able to afford the manual. Sorry I have Ausie dollars How about just the front page of the manual.

At least things are starting to move. I hope the big thing at the next CES is HDMI recievers and 1080p TV's and projectors. In another couple of years there will be better at a 10% of that price. Hang on it's going to be a fun ride. I think it will take a while to improve the decoder chips, however even this generation of HD Audio should sound well - stunning

No thanks i will stick to Dolbly 5.1.

I think enthusiasts are being played. Companies are just reeling enthusiasts in, line hook and sinker.

In the PC world: Enthusiasts need the fastest CPUs, RAM, GPUs, HDD drives, the best cooling, the most powerfull PSUs, the biggest and fastest HDDs, all packages in a 100% aluminum case with tons of lights fans, digital gauges, meters, etc..

In the Car world: Enthusiasts must have the best car stereo deck + speakers, best rimms, turbochargers, exausts system, 1000 + wat subwoofers, NOS, all complete with custom body kit.

In the Home Theater world: enthusiast must have the best TV, the best video player, the best cables, the best audio system. It's no nee to explain these as most already know what these are.

I don't need the fastest PC, I perfectly fine with a basic car (with really good gass millage , and i have no problem with low end Homtheater products.

I feel it's those who know when enough its enough are the true winners.

What i'm very curious about though is how lexicon is releasing this product before the HDMI 1.3 chips are even being produced.
