I searched the forum and couldn't find anything about this. Please delete this or point me in the right direction if it has already been discussed.
What is the difference (if any) between these 2 series? I know Discovery did one, and BBC did the other. But did the BBC simply re-master the film that Dicsovery did? |

Both are made by the BBC National History Unit (NHU). Both aired on The Discovery Channel in the USA.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BBC_Natural_History_Unit Each contains different subjects, animals, plants, locations, water bodies, etc. Buy both!!!!!!!! :-) |

The easiest way to describe the differences, is that Planet Earth has more of a focus on different types of ecosystems (mountains, polar regions etc), while Life tends to focus more on the variety of animal species ( mammals, reptiles, etc). Both are incredible and must owns..
