^^ No offense, but I think you're being a little 'close minded' to people who just so happen to like FPS's. Maybe people just like different things at the end of the day. You like unique and different games that your sister can play. Is there anything wrong with that? No
But to pass off any FPS as something for "StarWars/StarTrek/Matrix trillogy watching dweebs who think that good games are mearly good graphics and a gun" is very close minded. It's like country music. I have no idea what the appeal of country music is. To me, they all sound the same. But to Country music fans, it all sounds very specific and different. To I think they are all 'country music dweebs' or think less of them for it? No. Thats just their preference. They obviously 'feel' for the genre differently than i do. And thats a good thing. I wouldnt want a world where everyone thought the same. Heck, I'm not even a huge FPS fan. I hate Halo, and most of the generic army WW2 games. To date though, I think of two FPSs as games I love: Half Life 2, and Resistance Fall of Man. The pacing of the action, the stories, and how the stories were presented to me were incredible. It's just my type. Can I see why other might not like it? Sure. But they are GREAT games to me. Not trying to start an argument, and I see what you are saying about what you like and what you dont like, I just think you are presenting yourself wrong. You cant pass of fans of a genre as 'close minded dweebs' simply because you arent a fan of that genre. It's just insulting, and could have been said a little nicer. |

95% of reviewers only value the hype around a game, for Lair, they must have played 10 minutes, got shot fast and were humiliated because they didn't take the time to get to the controls, the targeting system and the mission system. A guy on youtube has humiliated them all by showing what to and not to do to play the game well.
The hype of the Wii helps a lot to trash the PS3 games when the Wiimote/nunchuk proves fast to be approximative at best, even more for multiplatform games when it becomes a pain for gameplay. It's more than obvious that Micrapsoft gives money to lower the PS3 scores. |

good, glad you got it. interested to read you opinion. by the way, gametrailers.com posted their video review of it last night. they gave it a 6, which i think is decent. i love their reviews. tons of gameplay footage along with a narrator that offers up a lot of great information. the graphics from the review look fantastic, but with a lot of glitches...and i think that was his major plight. kind of reminds me of the Sonic game for PS3. it just appears to be unfinished. but Sonic had shatty graphics anyway LOL!

I saw the PSM review of Warhawk and laughed. While I haven't played it yet, I've seem all the people drooling over it.
I've got my own review system. It's called "spend $4 renting the game." Works like a charm every time. The process is simple. I drive to the store on the corner. I give them $4 and they give me the game. I try it out for 4-5 days and then buy it if I like it. Sure beats giving a crap about reviews by others. ![]() Most reviews are the same: FPS: 10 All Others: 8 or less |

I disagree. The gameplay is not "horrible". It feels a lot like every version of Madden in recent years. It seems that people want to go back to teh old fast action "arcade" style of gameplay form teh 80's and 90's. While that might feel more responsive it is also far less realistic and these games are sims. Humans beings don't change direction instantly.

PSM's review of Warhawk is off.
The game is balanced and amazing. A 6.5 is direct evidence that they are a rag, now run by a former MS follower. Warhawk should be voted online game of the year. It is the most fun I have had with a game in ages. Lair is good. Not great, but good. The most fair and accurate review of Lair is from Gameinformer. They are usually spot on: Review Seriously, the 1-Up network, EGM, Play and PSM are highly suspect. Corporate shills. |

You know, I want to know how the Warhawk server works... that just looks like something that is an awesome add to a console game (when no one uses the consoles cpu power anyways).
Could end up being my second PS3 game. First was F1. Um, over what, 4 or 5 months? |
