And luckily, if you happen to have the necessary home theater equipment, the game's audio will play in full uncompressed 7.1 audio via HDMI for that extra aural oomph.

That's great! I thought this game was going to be delayed 'til Sept. They are now saying July (only a 2 month delay)! It looks like a beautiful and immersive 1080p game. Lair should be a "must have" title.

Default Dragons Lair Replay Value

while Dragons Lair looks incredible...sounds incredible and will no doubt be incredible...one thing to keep in mind. It is only a 20 minute game. It isnt one of the lengthy RPG's that we play on other consoles. So you need to consider the amount of actual replay that you will get and compare that to the current pricing for it.

What are you basing your gameplay time theory on? I have never heard of a 20 min. game. Not even on the Xbox 360 and they have a hell of a lot more space constraints than a BD on the PS3. Gear of War is just about the shortest game I know of at a pityful 5 hours of play to completion (do to space constraints on DVDs).

This just screams FUD.

Well there is Don Bluth's Dragon's Lair...

And then there's Lair.

This thread is talking about the latter.

I have to agree that 20 mins sounds really short for a title like Lair, unless you mean figuratively.

I didn't even see that Waiterguy was typing about the wrong subject. I missed the part where he said "Dragon's" Lair. LMAO! No wonder he said that. Dragon's Lair isn't a PS3 game lad.

Technically, it's a Blu-ray game, since it can be played on any Blu-ray capable device currently available.

I take it Dragon's Lair uses BD-J for its interactivity and blu-ray players included the PS3 don't have the capabilities for BD-J yet? I thought BD-J was already built in? Someone please explain so I don't have to continue being a mental retard. Every little bit helps

By now, every player that has been firmware updated has BD-J. The way each players can play BD-J discs depends on the chips inside it. Some are more responsive while others a bit sluggish. Some can generate smooth graphics while others can't.

Again, the PS3 is the best player for BD-J discs.

Thanks for the explanation. Makes me wonder if the BD-J capable players coming out are going to use a particular processor to handle the BD-J runtime machine? Is it going to become a chipset war for Intel or AMD or Sony to see who can get into these players and provide the fastest processors?
I hate to think people will end up purchasing what they think to be a great BD player and find that it doesn't run BD-J quite as fast as a competing BD player. That would make it very difficult for developers to create apps that ran on all players unless there was a standard.

The confusion in this thread is terrible!

"Dragon's Lair" and "Lair" are not the same game lol.

Lair does indeed look awesome, I can't wait for July!

Incase people can't be bothered to read the previews, another couple of interesting points.

- There will be a demo, but it's still not known when.

- Lair will include Trophies for your Hall of Fame in home.

I think that lair is the first game to have dragons in it that I know of.
