Good point, I didn't even think too much of the trolls that have been showing up. They probably won't affect the poll very much because they usually show up, post some FUD, and get banned right away.

I'm finding it more interesting to watch the number of members who have gone format neutral. I've been a member since this past Spring, so I'm trying to keep in mind the number of forum members who I knew were format neutral already and see if there's an increase or not. Also considering joining AVS just to do the same poll and watch it there.... I'm not sure if I want to expose my fragile mind to all that FUD though!

Joined AVS, same name. Already found a couple polls over there that are similar to this one... interesting.

I think the only interesting thing about this poll in this forum is the number of dual format users.

I agree, appears to me there has been an increase from what I noted over the past few months.

This isn't exactly a fair place for such a poll. To be truly unbiased it needs to be on a web news site, and include the option of "sticking with DVD". But great to see so many supporters.

Totally agree, would be very interesting to see a poll on CNN or such, with your addition.

I am in full support of Blu-Ray. I just want much cheaper players with all audio options available.

The reaso I chose Blu Ray is it has the most studio support has the most potential for the future 50gig and or more VS 30 gigs and more! Casino Royal and Black Hawk Down are exclusive to the format two of my favorite movies. I really wanted Transformers guess it going to be SD DVD for me. Does any one know how to make an online petition to send to Paramont telling them how much business they lost goung HD DVD exclusive. It is a moot point but it's worth a shot.

ATM, I prefer Blu-ray.
I STILL buy the El Cheapo DVDs from the Bargain Bins, $5.99 - $7.99, but Blu is the preferred format.
This laptop does an exceptional job at upscaling, but ya can't beat Blu!

*NOTE*: I am into picture clarity.
I would rather have a BD with intense PQ than "Artistic Value".

Blu-ray should have the blue bar and HD-DUD the red.

Just for color, not results.
