Don't know if this will help when you call, but it can't hurt.

Filter Attachment for 3D Glasses (TDG-BR100)

Part number - 145831411

Description - Polarizer Sheet

Same here, I'm from Australia and I called Sony Australia and they hadn't heard of it either. I directed them to this thread though and he spoke to his supervisor and he said they hadn't been made available in Australia yet

That's a bummer

If you really want these filters though, perhaps you can order them yourself directly from the sonystyle website? Obviously not desired since it will cost you 14.99 USD per set (instead of getting them for free from Sony) but definitely worth it if this is the only way you can get them.

The link to their order page (for the regular adult goggles) is: https://servicesales.sel.sony.com/ec...Text=145831411

Thanks for the idea of buying them separately... the link didn't work but I searched for part number 145831411 and it came up.

Unfortunately it says they are out of stock at the time of writing.

Default TRICK for those who wants greater 3D effect

Hi,

since I can't get additional/optional polarizer filter for my TDG-100 by Sony, because it's only available in USA.

I been keep trying to configure all the possible setting and still can't get aspected 3D effect. Today, I tried something stupid (kinda), found out that it really works and greater 3D effect!

Guess what I done? I flip my TDG-100 3D glasses upside down, and tada~! That' what I wanted and aspected. Okay, I know it sound strange and stupid, but before you judge, please try it. Good Luck!

Regards

You might also try 1. Put the glasses on the regular way and stand on your head. 2. Get a good pair of pliars and rotate each eyeball 180 degrees.

Be sure to let me know if either of those options work for you

Does these filters fix the pinkish orange tint you get when viewing through the 3d glasses?

Any idea if this would work on other brand glasses (has anyone tried it).

They are shaped specifically for the TDG-BR100 Sony glasses. They fit over the front lenses and are formed to fit the left and right lens, i.e. there is a left and right filter. It would be impractical to use them with other brands of glasses. When the filters are installed, the glasses fade to black at about 45 degrees of tilt in either direction, just as the Samsung glasses do without filters. The Panasonic glasses don't have the crosstalk/tilt problem. I am unfamiliar with LG's glasses. I would speculate that the design issue will probably be resolved in the 2011 Sony glasses. At least, I would hope so.

The only issue when using the glasses with the filters installed is some flicker in BD player and AVR displays which can be adequately addressed by dimming the displays.

LoL but no, it won't help... -.-'

Actually this trick is same as using the Stereoscopic Player.
When using Stereoscopic Player, if you don't get aspected 3D result,
try switch left and right file. It'll be better.
But 3DTV can't swtich left and right file, so, try flip your 3D glasses.

I wasn't meaning to suggest I was going to try them, rather i'm interested on the effect they would have. My guess is not much, but I thought it would be interesting in case someone had tried.

Sorry to hijack this thread but...
I just purchased the sony 3d accessories bundle with my new Sony NX810 46". I opened up the glasses and tried them on, but they seem to have a weird orange hue or tint when I look through them, as if I were wearing ski goggles. Since I ordered from amazon, I don't know if this is normal or is the glasses defective. If I tilt my head 90 deg to to the left the orange tint goes away. Am thinking about returning this altogether. If this is normal, then what a disappointment. Are there others that don't have a colored tint to it? And is this normal?

That's very interesting. The plug in filters on my glasses do add a slight orange cast to the lenses. I wonder if you have glasses that include the filter material? What is the part number for the glasses, TDG-BR100? You may have glasses that address the design deficiency of the original TDG-BR100s.

When you are watching a 3D presentation, you will notice the area surrounding the image darken slightly when wearing the glasses. This is normal.

@doctorandrew: I find this very interesting as well. When you tilt your head with those glasses, does the 3D effect remain?

Ok Ok I figured it out... it was teh light coming from my non 3d computer monitor that causes the orange tint. If you put on the glasses and look at your computer screen, it is orange where its suppose to be white.

The effect does not happen on the 3dtv as well. I took it to the sony style store to check it out.

@GreenMotion: the 3d does go away tilting more than 16 degrees to either side

Well I finally ordered some from the Sony website then got them redirected to Australia by a forwarding service.

I have to say they work fine at reducing loss of 3D due to head tilt, but they don't actually reduce crosstalk when you have your head straight. Just thought I'd put that out there for anyone wondering.

Does anyone know if these filters are available for the TDG-BR250 glasses and if they fix the problem of when you tilt your left or right the colour temperature shifts from cool to warm? Sorry to revive this dead thread but it's specific to my issue. And I am Australia so I cannot access the US Sony website without getting redirected to Aus store where it isn't available.

I have had 2 pair of the TDG-BR100's for over a year and the filters work great. Getting them from Sony was like pulling teeth. Things have improved though. I just got off the phone with them, having placed my order for the filters for the TDG-BR250 I recently received from Amazon. Still free. The part number for the TDG-BR250 filters is 45835911. I am confident that they will work just as well as the filters for the TDG-BR100's.

I suggested that they include the filters in the box with new glasses so people have the option to use them or not. I can't believe they are not losing 3D TV sales because of this issue

Still not able to get it in Australia even with the part number. This is ridiculous that Sony would have this flaw in their glasses and only have a fix in the US. But I'll ask again does the filters fix the issue of the colour temp shifting when tilting your head or only the crosstalk becoming worse as you tilt your head? I mainly want them for the colour temp shifting issue as that is far more noticeable when doing only slight tilting while the crosstalk shows up only with extreme angles of tilting.
