Don't buy an LG TV, and if you do buy the in-store warranty on it, no questions asked.

First of all, certain Sharps and Sony's, and most Samsungs have better contrast ratio. They have quiker respond times, and better back-lights.

I sell electronics in a retail store, nothing gets returned more than LG's, even Vizio's and Sylvania's (new Sylvania's are nice), get returned as much. Problems include dead pixels, a huge dark spot on the screen, tuner programming, and a whole lot more with LCD's. Their plasma's look the brightest, but they have the worst buzzing problem. I always steer customers away from LG cause I'm on commission and hate getting returns.

...so, stick with the name brands. All LG is good for is cell phones.

Don't make fun of CAT-5, I run an entire casino in HD over CAT-5, tis a wonderful thing... LG= *&*#$# We are a Panasonic House because of the very high failure rate of LG's on other properties Black is Black !!!

Cat5 is fantastic when you need to do long runs. Just get converter boxes and go.

I don't know a thing about their LCDs but I have one of their plasmas and I can't say anything but good....the image on my 42pc3d looks better than any Panasonic or Sony I've tried out. The in box 2 year warranty is amazing, and when I bought it, the LG was the only sub $2000 screen with 2 HDMI.

LCD by nature is dull and not that great in terms of contrast. Go with a solid CRT or a good plasma if you want blacker than black.

eh sorry man ive never seen any lg look anywhere close to any sony in terms of PQ. where you got it musta set the sony to look like hell and the lg to look good. the lg's do give a decent amount of comission its not unheard of. hell everytime i go near the fry's tv i hear "mitsubishi is the best tv ever made" for 8% commision they'll say that

in my own store i keep finding my sony's settings tampered with by punks.

Haha, yeah, same thing at Sears. They used to pay the most, they stopped carrying Mitsubishi for a while. LG's pay a bit, but most get returned, so I rather not sell them.

I know everyone has different views on LG but I recently purchased a 32" lcd with the new 120Hz screen refresh and 5ms response time and I have had no problems with it and it looks great. It was on sale at the time for $1099.99 but was originally $1399.99 and it came with a 2 year manufacturer warranty which is a plus. I am not saying no one has had no problems but with this being my first hdtv I am more than pleased. To me I hear people complain about every brand and all seem to have some type of problem whether it's blacks not being black enough or ghosting and pixel problems so whatever brand a person decides on their is bound to things you don't like.

I have a LG 42LB5D (i think thats the model) 1080p, 10,000:1 CR and i have no complaints. I had a bit of cloudiness on the right hand corners, but after wiping it with the static cloth and slighlty pressing the screen it went away....not sure how thats possible but it happened. I have one stuck pixel on the far far laft in the corner and its stuck white.......havent noticed any other stuck pixels and the picture is fantastic.

The TV plays regular broadcasts for shit, but for PS3 gaming and BD playback and HD channels it is very very nice. I have had the TV for about 60 days with no complaints.

Haha, I almost got into a fight with a salesman at Fry's who kept trying to push mitsubishi on me when I was looking at TVs. It was so annoying and obvious that they received major kickbacks to push those TVs.

I have a Sony LCD and a LG LED and the picture of the LG is just as good as the Sony. I am a Sony fan boy but I love my LG as well .

I think what really hurts the LG is the audio. I still need to get a sound bar for my one in the living room. Originally I bought a Onkyo HTIB, but I think I'm going to use that for when I finally set up our family room. With the living room, we don't need a balls out sound system. That will most likely be where I set up my Kinect once I get it on the wall.

Can anyone recommend a good LG? One that is 100Hz.

I was set on getting the 37LS5600 which says it is 100Hz but I've been told it isn't.

I will NEVER go LG again. I have had 5-6 of them this year alone. I have went both LED and Plasma and they have nothing but problems. I now have a Vizio 60 inch and I have nothing but good things to say about them.

Yes, LG LCD TV is good to buy. LG K430 TV is a full HD LCD TV that lets you view pictures that are stunningly clear and sharp. It has amazing full high definition screen resolution of 1920 x 1080p that assures to flood you with brilliant colors, contrast and brightness. LG 42" Full HD LCD 42LK430 TV is extremely well designed, elegant looking and sleek in appearance. You can get to see really awesome video watching on the 42 inch screen with CCFL Backlit on this television.
