it took so long because nobody had First Run rights because Fox were asking too much money for the show, and than FIC launched FX in the end of Feb on Foxtel. they are running season 1 and 2 back to back in double eps. so season 2 will be released at a similar time as the US.

ive been re watching them on FX. but also DL the eps every week cant wait for the finale this week.

Does anyone know if the 3 Disc Season One Special Edition is going to be released in Region B at all?

It was released in Region A over 6 months ago.

I don't have an ALL REGIONS Blu-ray player so I can't order it from direct from the USA.

Meanwhile Season 2 has been released here. 13 episodes crammed onto 2 discs with no special features advertised on the back of the box. Looks like a bare bones release.

I know I'm going to wait for the UK or the US release in August.

I bought The Walking Dead season 2 today, I must warn you that despite this website saying it has Dolby TrueHD 7.1, it only contains a lowly Dolby Digital 5.1 mix. So I wont be keeping it.

Another loss for Australia.

Really? Thanks for letting us know, because I was just about to purchase this, but hesitated at the last minute after the censorship nonsense the first season had.

If they want to carry on with this nonsense, then I won't be buying it. I'm more than willing to purchase it, but I will not part with my hard earned for gimped, second rate products.

I can confirm this. There are 2 tracks Dolby Digital 5.1 / 2.0

- I honestly didn't even look at the back when I bought it because I assumed it would have Lossless. That sucks. Anybody without a home theatre set up want my sealed copy for $30 delivered? It cost me $45

OHH man i fricken knew it! i just bought this and was adding it into DVD profiler as it wasn't in the database and noticed the 5.1... how the hell is this possible? why do we get screwed on stuff like this??? it's bullshit.

It was by posted Hopscotch on their Facebook page. The comments from Hopscotch were in response to a complaint that DVD and Blu of Season 2 did not have any extras.
August 16th -

I think I will avoid the Aussie Season 2. Apparently they squashed 13 episodes on 2 discs!

The UK release of Season Two comes with DTS HD MA 5.1 audio whereas the Australian release only comes with Dolby Digital 5.1 audio.
