I take it that Resi 3 is also another PG 13 horror shit? I hate the Resi films, how can you have a Zombi film where the Zombis don't eat anyone & theres no gloppy gore? I'd rather watch Romero or Fulci the true masters of Zombi horror. As for Anderson ,yeah he's shit but he did give us Event Horizon which was'nt bad & he's nowhere near as bad as Uwe Boll.......

...before I respond to everyone else hating the series.....the first two were rated R, and so is the third....it would only have taken you 3 seconds of research to not look like a retard

As for the movie....I cannot yet comment on it(going to see the first showing at the local theater). While the trailers didnt really intriuge me, I am sure that the movie will be quite fantastic. I really like the first one(used to use it to show of my home theater back in the day). The second one, while it lacked the nice visuals and sound, it was a better movie....with a wicked ending.

Yes, they could have made it a bit darker, and more creepy, but I think that the series as a whole has done quite well, and I wouldnt mind seeing a couple more. Nothing like an overkill of Mila Jovavich. Id rather that, than seeing another Spiderman Movie flop....

It may be rated R but as i said how do you have a Zombi movie without zombies who eat people & no gloppy headshots? Do your research & see why Romero quit the 1st film or better still watch the original Dead films which the games were inspired from........

I am going to waste my money to go see it. Lets hope it was worth it for laughing at.

BTW after watching Dawn and the Remake of Dawn RE 2 sucked @$$ I just wanted to see some sort of a plot and the acting is sooooooo uninspiring. It's just like F*** this and F*** that. Really those are the only lines from the movie I remember.... They also killed off my fav character from the game. LEON!!!!! Yes thats right. if you pause it when it shows the scraps of paper when you first see Jill the head line for one of the papers is "S.T.A.R.S member Jill Valentine under inspection for the death of her partner Leon S. Kennedy." F*** YOU Paul w. s. anderson!! Come up with some original characters instead of killing off great ones!!!!! And dont you dare say Alice was original. She may have been in name but she is just Sarah connor in disguise.

I will watch RE:E when it hits HBO and I want a good laugh.

Yes..im this bitter about how RE turned out in film. It's had 3 different directors, although that talentless prick Paul Anderson also wrote the 2nd one (while he wrote/directed the 1st). 3 different directors, and they've all sucked balls. This is a travesty. Where the hell do they find these guys?
Someone hasn't seen Bloodrayne.

Admittantly, with Bloodrayne, the source wasn't that great, but.

I completely agree. I loathe the RE movies. I have seen extinction only because I work at a movie theater and I watched it for free. To me it was like watching a train wreck. I would make a bet that almost all the people who like the movies have never played the games.

Totally agree. Everyones entitled to their opinion, but i've never heard anyone defend these trashy popcorn films. They obviously never played the games or have seen a real Zombi movie. Whatever next! A Uwe Boll fan on the forums defending the Maestros works?

I would never disagree with you, and your knowledge of the genre. However, I went to see that movie with some friends from work, and we all enjoyed it.

Personally, I feel that too many fans of the game refuse to be pleased. I've been playing RE since the beginning, and I've loved the movies too. I don't want to see RE made into a movie using the exact same lines and characters. I've already experienced that, and if that's what I wanted, I play the games again.

If you want to criticize a movie because it's just not your thing, that's fine, but it frustrates me when you can't be a "true" RE fan if you like the movies.

Oh no! They've changed things that were in the games! Worst movie ever!

That's odd, everyone seemed to love RE4, and it changed even more than the movies did. No more enclosed spaces, no more Umbrella, no more zombies, heck, survival was hardly even an issue, seeing as how ammo was plentiful. Survival horror was changed into action-adventure. Everyone loved it (myself included). In fact, they even took a well known character and *gasp* changed him from the last time we saw him!

Really, I think it's ridiculous when people expect a videogame movie (or a comic movie) to remain identical to their original source. Changes are both needed to attract people who don't play games and to keep the experience new for those who know the material. Heck, if it was a shot by shot remake of one of the games, fans would still find something to complain about. Have you played a Resident Evil recently? The acting in those games makes the RE movies look academy award worthy.

Alright, I'm done now. Yes, it's a rant, and yes, people will probably flame me, but I'm just irked. If you hate the movies, that's fine, but don't accuse people of being "mindless followers" or people who are not "true" fans of the games.

Thanks for reading.

Huge fan of the all the games, cant wait for RE5. But also cant wait a for a few moer years when a real director lifts this franshise again from the beggining. the movies had nothing to do with the games, i hated so much what they did to nemesis.
so i am waiting to see in a few years Resident Evil: The Mansion Incident, Resident Evil: The Racoon City Escape , Resident Evil: Nemesis, RE: CV, and of course the resident evil 4.

I have never play the game and not into the horror Zombi movie, to me RE are action movies and I enjoy watching it. The series definitely not an award winner and I can really care less how close it follows the game. I guess I am easily entertained.

You really cant make anyone happy, people are pissed if the movie never gets made and then they get pissed if its not up to their standards... id rather them keep trying trying trying then just stop or not give us any resident evil, or any movie for that matter.. Spidey 3 was no-where near as good as the others but im glad they made it, and I hope we get spidey 4, be happy they are trying.

Is Resident Evil (1) ever going to come out on Blu-Ray? I still have not bought the 2nd film, because the 1st is not out.
