so it came out today and I was wondering if anybody saw it. I heard it was supposed to be better but I just could not stand the second one. I used to like it but I tried to watch it today... just overkill to a bad day.

Just got back from it, and it was my favorite yet. Alice = complete carnage so I enjoyed it.

Default Just got back from Resident Evil: Extinction

Well.... I'd have to say it goes with the title. Overall I thought it was a good movie, probably on the same level as the first movie but not as good as the 2nd. I'm buying it as soon as it's on Blu-ray.

**Spoiler Warning**

The things I did not like about it was these new "powers" that Alice has which are capable of throwing people across the room or stopping bullets or a huge ball of fire. I just think that part is ridiculous. Another part I did not like was when the scientist has some sort of snake-like arms that can extend and grab or spear people from over 50ft away. Just a bit too far fetched. I liked the classic "zombie" parts most.

In other good news. The end of this movie leaves part 4 wide open. You know they are going to make another one. But, since earth is pretty much completely ruined except for Alaska, I don't see how they're going to make it work. Although Alice is going across seas to the facility in Japan much like the "Hive" located in Utah or wherever it is.

If you've seen this movie please post your comments.

the 1st one was the one that sucked plus the zombies looked like crap the 2nd one however actually had a lot more action then the 1st one. The 1st one was basically all talk no action. 2nd one having a whole city against a few people, and now the 3rd with basically with like the world now thats freaking awesome.

**** this series. Resident Evil could have been translated into a really strange, f'ed up, twisted, genuinely frightening movie...and it turned into...that. It's the most depressing failure of a game-to-movie conversion in the history of the (often unsuccessful) genre. Did I say often? I meant always. Has there been one good movie based on a game?

I will watch RE:E when it hits HBO and I want a good laugh.

Yes..im this bitter about how RE turned out in film. It's had 3 different directors, although that talentless prick Paul Anderson also wrote the 2nd one (while he wrote/directed the 1st). 3 different directors, and they've all sucked balls. This is a travesty. Where the hell do they find these guys?

How can you say they all sucked balls if you haven't seen the 3rd one yet?

The 3rd wasnt that great at all, it was low budget and they just took parts from the other movies and just spoofed them up a bit. I kinda wanted to leave but i paid $10 to see it so i stayed. I really wish they had just used the scripts from the games, now that would have been sweet.

I beg you guys, do not support the Resident Evil Movies!!!! Paul W.S Anderson does NOT deserve to have anything to do with medium of Film! He's the biggest money wasting uninspired director of all time, the less we support these types of films which have only 10-20 minutes of entertainment the more strict the studios will be on who they hire. WE NEED GOOD FILM MAKERS!!!!!!!

Peace.

Well I saw it and I thought it was great. Then again I'm a fan of the whole series. It's probably not my favorite one and I really didn't like the ending, but the movie itself was fantastic. Oh and there's another sequel coming that's for sure.

I have to agree with you. 2nd one was my favorite still but I loved this movie. My only problem was the ending.

I liked the new zombie stuff. ESPECIALLY how the crows turned undead, that was really a good idea. But I didn't like when the doctor turned to some special zombie just because he got bit by the "cured" ones. All those other people got bit by "cured" zombies and they stayed dead and human.

I don't like how they left the ending so wide open...although I like the idea of an Alice army . I can see this turning into another movie, but I really hope they don't try to keep the series going after that even.
