If Cars 2 is priced at $28 on release day, you can be concerned. But it won't be. With release week sale prices and the probable Disney coupon, this will most likely be under $20.

agree, wait until it is available to decide if the price is worth it. I hate it when people use MRSP and stuff just to say "it is over priced"

As to his question. I will most likely go with the 3D set

Instead, Disney will release the film as a two-disc Blu-ray Disc and DVD combo pack ($39.99) and a five-disc combo pack with 3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray, DVD and digital copy ($49.99).
It will never sell at that price point.

Fortunately that isn't the real price point you'll see unless you're planning to buy the movie in a Disney-owned theme park, Disney store, or the Disney Family Museum's gift shop in San Francisco. People who buy movies at these places are generally called morons.

It's inevitable. That's where things are heading. It's only a matter of time. If not now, then very likely within the next year or so. DVD is almost exactly where VHS was 10 years ago. Pretty soon you'll see an abundance of dusty DVDs in pawn shops and garage sales.

Very likely. Best Buy had Bambi for $19.99 which got knocked to $15 since their trade-in promo was going on at the time. Cars had also been re-released and was selling a BD/DVD combo for $19.99. TRON: Legacy first came out on combo pack for $19.99 at Target as a promo while the initial DVD release sat right next to it on the shelf for the same price.

So I figure paying more than $20 for Cars 2, unless you're buying the 3D version, is doing it wrong.

Does any one know BD/DVD + DC combo releases are planned for 'Limitless' and 'Source Code'?

Apologies for diverting the thread; I can't seem to find the info anywhere else and I don't want to double dip. Thanks!
