I watched this when I was way too young and I was home alone. I never made it through the whole movie, and I think it is one of the main reasons I am petrified of horror to this day.

My grandfather, so sick of me and my cousins and sister talking endlessly about candyman, stormed into a bathroom, closed the door and said 'candyman' loudly so we could hear. To this day, I remember the sheer terror I felt as I screamed, cried and clawed at the door. I seriously thought he was going to die.

I definitely will NOT be buying this, haha.

I'd have hoped for 5.1 audio. The soundtrack is gorgeous. Tony Todd's voice could have had the sub working overtime. Thinking of the scene in the car park "HELLLLLLLENNNNNN"

Yes, it`s too bad. As you said, it would have benefited from a well made 5.1 remix.

Me and my good friend watched this when we were younger - again, way too young. Definitely one of the scariest films I've ever seen, more so due to the memory I have of watching it when so young as well. I never used to have the guts to say Candyman in the mirror 5 times. I would always get to 2 or 3 and then bail.

Might buy this, but once it hits the £5 mark.

If the price is pretty good I'll order it from the UK.I checked my laserdisc(that's right I have a working laserdisc player that I use from time to time)and it is the uncut version.Just thought i'd share that.

Watched the Aussie Import of this last night as it's only £8 delivers from Movieplus+, Not bad for a catalogue release from Universal, Not too much in the tinkering dept. Wouldn't want to pay any more for it than I did though.

Is it still the R-rated cut Dickie ?

Lossless 5.1 soundtrack ?

This might seem like a silly question, but I heard one of the Candyman sequels was coming on TV any night now. I was just wondering if anyone has seen the adverts and happens to know when and what channel it's coming on?

Thanks of course.

Still the R Rated cut as far as I can tell, 2.0 DTS HD MA too, Can't tell you if it was impressive or not as I watched it through the TV

Plenty of bass in the "Helen!" Car Park scene though

2.0?? FFS let's hope we get 5.1 DTS, candyman is one of my all time favorite horror movies and i'd love to finally watch it in proper surround sound and HD too, what's the point of releasing blurays with 2.0, BD is meant to be next-gen!!!

Up on Amazon, but list price so far. Hopefully it'll drop down under 10 pounds, but I'd have to see some screencaps before ordering.
