![]() Let us put faith in competitive greed, and maybe we'll accomplish something good for the format. ![]() (And never mind the growl; as VH-1's comics pointed out [Show spoiler] , in the climactic "gimmick" scene where the shark breaks the glass, wouldn't a real shark actually, y'know, move its tail back and forth, instead of just drifting toward the glass like a big ol' loaf of bread...How the heck is it propelling itself, anyway? ![]() ----- * - Starchaser: Legend of Orin and Spacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone, however, are at the bottom of MGM's B-Orion "archive" barrel, and Treasure of the Four Crowns is back with its indie owner. MGM troubles aside, if we DO see Starchaser and Spacehunter eventually return as B3D's, we shall know the Jaws/Wax experiment was successful. Last edited by EricJ; 12-21-2011 at 11:05 PM. |

I took a look at the Jaws website that was mentioned. Although it says that they are releasing both Jaws and Jaws 3D on the same date it doesn't say that the Jaws 3D release will actually be in BD3D (Hopefully it is).

Holy hyperbole! How does it ruin the movie when the original is still there, still intact and readily available for you or anyone to see in NON 3D? 3D haters are seriously the worst.

I can only think of a couple of scenes in the original Jaws that might have a good 3D effect; Quint firing his harpoon gun and when Bruce leaps onto the Orca at the end. |

![]() (That's just a guess, since the the 2-D version of J3D was always simply "Jaws III" for television and VHS, so it's plausible enough to hope for.) And at least the color polarized are easier to restore for active shutter than the anaglyph-- The 1983 revival of the 50's House of Wax was released polarized, wasn't it? Been so long, can't recall, except that that was the only good 80's-3D movie at the time, and I'm waiting to see whether Warner makes good on their plans. |
