It "SHOULD" be region free, however after scouring the net, I can not find out if it is region free. Most places say nothing or like Amazon, "Unknown".

It's anyones guess until more info is released.

AxelMusic claims the US release is confirmed A coded. I don't know how much they can be trusted but *sigh*

Looks like I won't be getting it till 2008 then.

Blockbuster probably isn't the most reliable source of info.

This is the response that I received from sendit.com....

"Thanks for getting in touch - sadly this has been pulled from release untill further notice - as soon as we hear anything we will update the site to reflect this.

In the meantime if you need any further help, information or advice then please feel free to contact us here at care"

Regards,

i hope Cars does not require any profile other than 1.0... that might explain the posted delay in Europe. That would be a real bummer for Blu and a boost for HD-DVD saying we can't our act together.....

I doubt we'll see any disc with 1.1 features for a while, the delay is probably just some distribution problem, but I think the delay itself and any other Blu-ray screw up is an HD DVD boost.

I see a lot of European people here wanting to get the US cars release NOW because its come out... personally I think the UK release is worth waiting for, I have the SD DVD already, and the huge upside of getting the UK version is that Jeremy Clarkson did the voice of the police car in place of Burt Reynolds.

I understand that the US release is region free, but does anyone know if the UK release will be able to play on this side of the pond? If it won't. I may as well get the US version, but if it will play over here, the version with JC is worth waiting for.

Actually Jeremy Clarkson did the voice of Harv in the UK version in place of Jeremy Piven.

There is a minor change in the audio tracks for the UK. One character (the manager not actually seen on screen) is voiced by Jeremy Clarkson (The lead presenter on BBC's "Top Gear").
