I'd rather have the soundtrack than a Digital Copy for sure, but like others have said, it would be hard for some movies unless the studio also owned a record company.

I know the Wocka Wocka combo pack for The Muppets is coming with a DL code for the soundtrack. That's better than nothing.

"Would you buy a blu-ray if it also had the soundtrack to the movie?"

The soundtrack would definitely not be the deciding factor...

If I wanted to see the movie, I'd buy it, with or without the soundtrack

If I didn't want to see the movie, I wouldn't buy it regardless of soundtrack inclusion

I would also not pay more to have the soundtrack included

(e.g. no $20 release w/o soundtrack, $25 release with soundtrack)

I'm a soundtrack fanatic so I would in a heartbeat. The only thing that worries me is if this idea was ever implemented, what exactly would we get? For instance I have the terrific 3 disc soundtrack for Fincher's The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. I highly doubt they would stuff 4 discs in a case and sale it for under 30 bucks. I could see them maybe putting a sampler (ex: Beetlejuice) in the case to basically promote the sale of the actual entire soundtrack. Granted that is an extreme comparison given that most soundtracks are only a single disc anyways. Maybe I'm over analyzing but I'm sure you guys can see my point.

Well, only if the soundtrack was complete and was actually used in the film...many times you can never get the "full score" or every song used in a film due to multiple copyrights. Fanmade or custom soundtracks are better, especially since they can be of a higher quality than whats on most CDs.

Great examples, especially since The Social Network's score was released on BD as well.

One actual soundtrack I'm sure they could work out is Purple Rain, which would be awesome if it was High Res.

I would prefer the soundtrack, over the digital copy. Digital copies are useless to me!

That is a great idea--at least from the consumer standpoint. There are a lot of sound tracks I really love--recently--Transformers, Sucker Punch, Hanna--I bought those three and would have loved to get them with the Blu Ray.

One of my favorite soundtrack CDs is Jackie Brown, IMO that would be a fantastic BD to include the soundtrack with. I think they could easily be charging twice what they are getting for the current BD which they are practically giving away as it is.

Call me crazy, but I've bought blu-rays without digital copies or soundtracks.

Not really...

I've got the soundtrack of Stand by Me when I bought the DVD years ago, I listened to it once but that's about it. If I really need the soundtracks, I'll buy them in a CD case like I did for all the Tarantino movies.

If studios begins that, it'll be out of control!

Eh, not really. I can't even remember the last time I liked a song so much from a movie that I had to have it, so it's not really something I want.
