I would say Twin Peaks, but my favorite is Dune.

Fire Walk with Me is my favorite, but since it isn't an option, I went with my second favorite, Inland Empire.

The second season of Twin Peaks is too awful for it to be considered one of his best works as a whole. Things only perked up when he directed the second season finale, but it was still too late.

Lynch's best work was as an actor on Louie last season. He was hilarious.

This poll was so easy for me because Mulholland Drive is my favorite movie ever, although as Visco said Mulholland Drive was confusing as hell. I watched Mulholland Drive seven times in one month in order to get the movie.

We need more Region A David Lynch releases ASAP, are there any? Oh yeah Dune but are there any others?

Just Dune and Blue Velvet. There's also a UK Blu-Ray of The Elephant Man which is region free (I'm thinking about importing it).

Really hard to pick one but Mulholland Drive is the one that really did it to me. Also after that movie I started to check Lynch out rewatching his movies or watching some of them for the first time.

I would personally say Elephant Man, Lost Highway and Mullholland are were Lynch merged style and drama most effectively.

Not sure why this is in the TV section, but I might actually vote for Twin Peaks, mostly because of Season 3.

Mulholland Drive

Twin Peaks is great for the most part, but there's some fat that should have been trimmed in season two.

Always weird that there are polls for directors with a literal handful of works and they leave off features, in this case Wild at Heart or Fire Walk with Me.

Twin Peaks: The Return is my favorite filmed piece of art, so that wins for me, lol.

Twin Peaks S3 is so good it destroys any bad stuff from S2. So I think Twin Peaks is gonna be his magnum opus.

Eraserhead is my favorite film, but when you add up season 1, season 2, Fire Walk with Me and season 3... Twin Peaks has to be his greatest work overall. It's a monumental achievement. It's impressive how consistently good it has been over such a long time, and - aside from a couple low points in S2, which still aren't nearly as bad as they're made out to be - everything new added to it just enhances what came before.

To me Twin Peaks seemed a lot more collaborative and compromised. Like, in comparing a TV series to feature films (and why aren't his other TV series on the list?) do you only count the episodes Lynch wrote and/or directed, or is just the series 'overall'?

Anyway, from what I have seen, Mulholland Drive is by far my personal favourite.

As for what is 'the best'... not for me to decide.
