It's not uncommon, they do stuff like this for movies that have pretty big followings. 'Tron Legacy' and 'The Amazing Spider-Man' spring to mind. They end up showing more than just the trailer, usually.

I never heard of that before. But I don't live out in LA so I'm not in the know.

You mean "haunted" or supposedly haunted?

With Paranormal Activity 5 moving to January Carrie is the only horror film opening in October. Surely another is going to take advantage of this. I wonder if Insidious will move to October. They might want to stick to the Friday the 13th gimmick. With October around the corner it might allow it to have solid legs. Though I do wonder with an October release if it could top the 52.6 Million Paranormal Activity 3 opened to. Probably not but I do think 40+ would happen for sure.

I don't expect that to last at all. I think something will budge. Probably not this though.

It's a little weird something hasn't already. And you'd think Weinstein would have announced by now that they are not releasing Satanic at the end of August . There's not even a trailer. Maybe they'll release that in October.

They're promoting the hell out of this during Pretty Little Liars.

They had TV spots for every commercial break... and GET THIS... during the ACTUAL show.. two characters are watching TV and the Insidious 2 TV spot comes on and the guy is like "That comes out next weekend. We should go watch it."
