If he is such a fan of HD DVD, why is he watching and rating all of these BD movies? Are they on HD DVD as well... or maybe...THEY AREN'T ON HD DVD!!!

I really enjoyed this movie and thought the picture quality and audio quality were both great!

I got this movie today, my first time watching this movie. I did not like the story line that much & that I could only get 2.0 DST The 1st one I think has a better story line.
I don't want to get into why because some of you have not seen this movie & it would give away some of the movie.

does the bd have PCM 5.1? or just dst-hd5.1 I am using toslink, but my receiver(s) can do PCM 7.1 (5.1 on the other), just have not hooked it up that way (clutter).

There have been a few glowing reviews lately, then have half a point or so deducted for seemingly insignificant 'issues'.

It's DTS-MA 5.1 IIRC,

Not a fan of the PQ myself. Too grainy and inconsistent. Some scenes were beautiful, others were no better than an upscaled DVD.

Great movie, but not a fan of this transfer.

Great movie, but not a fan of this transfer.
The movie was shot on a variety of formats (16mm, digital) and the transfer perfectly replicates the theatrical presentation. Great transfer, and miles better than the dvd.

I wasn’t impressed with the PQ quality but the audio was outstanding.

I’ll pick it up when it hits $10

Does anyone think that the PQ on this could be better, given the source print? This is one of the transfers that frequently gets bashed for being one of the worst ones out there, but from what I can tell it is as good as it can be and is in line with the original intentions. As a result, upgrading from DVD may not be worth it, sure, but for people like me who don't have it in any format, I may as well get it on BD. I'm gonna get the 28 Days and Weeks boxset

I just wonder whether people think there are problems with the transfer that could be dealt with, or, like me, seem to think that it's as good as it could be

I'm no film expert, but I think they can improve the PQ. The last part of the movie was pretty clear.

EDIT: I keep getting both films mixed up!

I think u guys are mixing up 28 Days Later with 28 Weeks Later. 28 Weeks Later has outstanding PQ, while 28 Days Later doesnt and thats because of what the movie was made with. This thread is about part 2 which is 28 Weeks Later and the PQ is great! Got Em!!

I agree, I have both on blu, and while 28 days was shot primarily on DVI so most of the movie looks pretty bad (but its probably as good as its going to get), 28 weeks looks fantastic.

Can someone PLEASE spoilerize for me how long in the movie Rose Byrne lasts? Does she go out early, in the middle or near the end?

I became a big fan after Bridesmaids and I wondered the same thing about Sunshine and was happy with the answer and found the film was just as good as I'd heard it was.

I can't just buy every blu-ray out there, so I hadn't picked this or 28 Days later yet. Both or on sale at Amazon, so I'd like to grab them today, but I'd like to know about how long Rose lasts before I do.

Thanks in advance!

[Show spoiler]She makes it to the end, if I remember correctly. Haven't watched it in about two years, but I wanna say she survives.

I know that isn't right.

[Show spoiler] She definitely dies. IMDB has several threads about her character's death, however nothing I could find gives any idea of when it happens.

Please! Can anyone help? The sale will probably not last very long. Thanks.

[Show spoiler]She dies, but not until the last quarter of the movie (I would say it's within the last 15 minutes or so)
