The Toy Stories interest me in 3D but I am not so sure how a 2D hand drawn image will display in 3D. Do 2D drawn movies really benefit from 3D? I almost wish I had waited on Nightmare before christmas because i bought that in Blu upon it's release but I am not sure I could justify a double dip for that movie.

Highly unlikely. There is a chance you could get the 3D copies (if you want them) from eBay, from someone who doesn't own a 3D set but bought the sets to get some profit out of them. Or you could arrange it with someone else to buy the movies and you could pay the difference to get the 3D copy.

If any of you are near any Borders in the final throws of closeouts (60% off blurays) and any Barnes and Nobles (40% off sale, plus various coupons like $5 off $50 around) there are some great deals to be had on BD3D's.
As so many 3D titles seem to stay so close to MSRP after the first sales, some of them work out very well. Ones that I noticed: Borders: Christmas Carol ($20 plus tax); Polar Express ($18), Green Hornet ($20), Yogi Bear ($18) B&N (IN STORE ONLY as the list online doesn't include BD3D's), with 10% discount for members- possible 10% off available through AAA?, plus additional $5 off $50 coupon in deals threads): NBC ($25.80)- there were more but I had to get to work- I also wanted to print that coupon. I may return my NBC and rebuy it. |

If I did the conversion right it does seem like good prices, would be nice to see this sorts thing be available on this side of the pond but frankly I either already have all of these or had and traded them, but yeah hopefully it is the start of a trend.

This may be better suited to the bargains thread - but I figure folks here are the ones that will bite first.
Amazon has a new deal up: Order any two Disney titles on Blu-ray 3D and Save $10 - including the (3) individual Toy Story films, Bolt Chicken Little, Meet The Robinsons and G Force. Here is the link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.htm...cId=1000718691 I had already pre-ordered some of these individually at a lower base price - has anyone tried having the discount applied to earlier pre-orders? The customer service rep I spoke with yesterday wasn't able to help me out. |

Thanks a lot for the heads up!!
![]() I have all of them on pre-order except G-Force, I just checked and they haven't applied the discount on my order as well... I'm new to Amazon and trying to figure out how all these discounts work as well. I put all of them on one order to save on shipping charges and currently have these pre-order prices for them: Toy Story 3D - $34.99 Toy Story 2 3D - $34.99 Toy Story 3 3D - $34.99 Bolt 3D - $34.99 Chicken Little 3D - $30.99 Meet The Robinsons 3D - $30.99 Does this mean I have to cancel the order and make a new one in order to get the new discounts ($30 for 6 titles)? Does this mean I'll lose these pre-order prices guarantees? I'd really appriciate it if someone could explain... Thanks ![]() |

Usually when it's a 3D-only disk, there's an onscreen option to play it in 2D (presumably by cutting off one of the streams).
That's not usually the case with Disney or Warner combos--which like to make special 3D menus for their separate disk--but that's been the case with the IMAX, Dreamworks and Fox (Dawn Treader) titles I've picked up that used to be one-disk Bundle exclusives. |

I was well chuffed I got this for £17.99 Presumably it will be the same for the Green Hornet/Priest/Resident Evil Afterlife set released in November. The cheapest I have preordered this for is £29.99 with a code from Tesco Entertainment (as HMV didnt honour the £17.99 price for this set) |
