Wait....You're actually calling a made-for-TV (well, made-for-cable, and therefore either Disney Channel or ABCFamily, we don't have "made-for-TV" anymore) movie "Real"?

WHY??

That's like calling Home Alone 4 "real"!
That's like calling Splash, Too "real"!
That's like calling Omen IV "real"!
That's like calling Psycho IV "real"!
Sheesh, get a freakin' GRIP!

I'm just wondering what the hell Malcolm McDowell is doing in this.

He need the money that badly?

This movie is an insult to the Home Alone brand, just like the last two have been. The series ended after "Lost in New York"; let it rest already.

I could even tell at 11 yrs old in 1997 when Home Alone 3 trailers started to pop up that without Culkin and the original cast, you can't capture the same magic as the first 2. The first two may essentially be the same movie in a different location like The Hangover, but both are classics not just for Christmas, but movies you can watch year-round

I'll give it a go, I wont write off right now, whilst Home Alone 1 and 2 were amazing I still enjoy Home Alone 3, although not as much of course. Home Alone 4, well, that was just so abysmal this can't possibly be worse than that, right?

Also it seems like there's a bit more of a budget this time round thank God, they've actually built a 15,000sqft. set for the house, better than what I'm assuming was a $250 budget for the fourth "movie". Here's hoping they can pull off something at least in the same league as Home Alone 3.

Also, there will be 7 days outdoor filming in Winnipeg starting about now and three days in a country club or something, doubling for a mountain lodge for a manufacturing baron or something (ugh).

What this series really needs is a theatrical reboot, starring Macaulay Culkin as Kevin, the father of an unruly son who accidentally gets left behind whilst on a Christmas holiday, call it Home Alone: Like Father, Like Son. Bring back Stern and Pesci. CGI the fish!

Actually, the only reason we got HA3 was way back when Fox wanted to experiment with 2+3 sequels and get both in production. But this was back when Stage-Dad From Hell Chris Culkin thought he personally owned Fox's sorry @$$ (even tried to interfere with Culkin's "Nutcracker" movie)--
Chris was nagging the studio to take the series international and do "Lost in Rio" or at least Paris, while John Hughes wanted to bring in the high-tech spies.

It took them that long to iron out the squabbling that the two projects fell into limbo along with the Culkins after "Richie Rich", and by the time Fox needed a family film to dust off the memos, there was no one to stand in the way of Hughes's old storyline.
Fox toyed with the idea of "Teen Culkin comes back", but from what we know of him in hindsight.....it's safe to say he said no.

Home Alone 1 & 2 - AMAZING!
Home Alone 3 - Pretty Decent IMHO.
Home Alone 4 - Dog S**t.

Since they look to be comparing it to Home Alone 4, looks like we'll be getting more dog s**t. I'll stick with the originals.

Yes and no: A Disney spinoff TV-pilot, with French Stewart as Joe Pesci.

Do not watch Home Alone 4. It is a waste of 89 minutes of your life which could be spent doing something more worthwhile like helping the poor, watching the first Home Alone or even staring at an old chair, which may not be very worthwhile but is certainly more entertaining than that HA4 drivel.
