Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the packaging thicker for the UK sets of these than the normal non-combo ones here? It's the packaging that bothers me the most, not the actually DVDs being added. Thanks though.

I don't really like importing, I've had more than one bad experience doing so. The only thing I hate about the TV show combo packs is the size change to the box. I don't keep DVD copies for my Blu-ray combo packs, I give the DVD to my brother & sister-in-law. From the way this looks I'll have to keep whatever they're putting the DVDs in to keep the BDs from falling out every time I pick up the box. :/

You could put the DVDs in something else and keep the empty case (or whatever it will be) in the packaging.

I've got TVD S1 from the UK and S2 from the US and I just measured them. S1 comes out at 12mm and S2 is 10 mm, so while there is a difference it isn't anything that's even noticeable. I thought they were the same width when I just looked at them.

There is however a big difference in the colour of the blu ray band, the placement of the title, and of course the ratings logos.

Me neither. I seriously might as well type out a line and save it in Notepad so I can copy and paste it into every thread since it happens all too often. I'd just have to change the dollar amount.

Maybe because it is not always the truth? I've paid $40 for the DVD version of CW shows... I doubt the BluRay will be under $50 on release day.

What do you mean it's not the truth? It's not going to be $60+, let alone $50 release day like people think. If True Blood, an HBO show, is $35 release day there's no way a WB show will be that high.

Season 1 was $44.99 and season 2 was $42.99

Really don't mind that it will be a combo pack (liked it with HBO's True Blood release), the only thing I wish it would have is an iTunes option instead of just Ultra Violet for the digital copy.

It won't cost more. True Blood didn't, and I don't see them starting a trend with this either.

People always do this.... They see the price that the preorder is going for and they think it's never going to drop. Even though we know a week before this is released, best buy and/or targets ad will have it ~$35-$40 like every other show..... And all the freaking out will be for nothing.
