Hooray!!! This is my most anticipated bluray! I don't suspect we'll see this before next year though, as 2013 is officially the 25th Anniversary for Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

It's funny because I was just chatting with my mom about this movie the other day, and now there's an announcement. This seems to happen to me very often, where I'll think about a movie, look it up online, do a little research, then say, "Oh well...no BD release yet. I can wait." Then not long after there's an announcement. Anyone else experience this on more than one occasion?

Disney has a bit of a track record of releasing certain anniversary editions on non- anniversary, Dumbo being one that comes to mind (it was actually the 71st anniversary but branded 70th). Also, looking at how many live action catalog titles we're getting, it could easily get a January/ February release.

So, good to know its coming SOON, although we don't have a date.

I know there have been some other high profile movies still not out on blu-ray but this has been number one on my wishlist. End of this year or early next year seems so far away but I am glad it has been announced. I don't do many day one purchases since I tend to wait for prices to come down but this is without a doubt a day one purchase for me.

One of my favorite movies from when I was a kid, so this will be an easy Day 1 buy.

As much as I would love to have this, if it does come out in 2013, I'm alright with that.

One of my favorites. I still have my laserdisc. Hopefully a steelbook or metalbox will be released somewhere in the world as well.

No, it wouldn't be.

I hate non-uniform packaging. There's nothing like having 100 Blu-rays beautifully lined up on a shelf and then... the one oddball that has to stick out like a sore thumb with its 'unique' packaging!

They get shoved at the end of the collection instead of getting to go in with the rest in alphabetical order.
