Where the up front HDMI comes in is for those with HD camcorders. Since the HDMI 1.3 spec included the mini connector for them. Someone could just hook it up and watch it.

All I know is I want my Kuro plasma. But a $7500 for the 60 it is crazy.

Always glad to help! I love TV shopping... I wish I could do it everyday.

Lol. Yeah I know. However 58" is out of my price range and also too big for my viewing pleasure for how close I will be

I am going to pickup the 700U. I thought it was going to be in the next few days, but weighing my options here - I might wait until Christmas for some deals possibly.

What is taking the lead now is a Canon 40D I parted with my 20D over a year ago and I miss it. Only thing I have now is an aged G3 that is ok, but the pictures have red spots on the

I am a terrible shopper. So very indecisive.

So you know, this is the employee pricing Panasonic currently had on this model:

TH-50PZ700U

$2,999.95 Original Price
-$775.15 Special Discount
$2,224.80 Your Price
FREE SHIPPING
Sign up for Club Panasonic and get an extra 10% off, so that would make the price 2002.32.

Obviously this is useless to you if you can't get the pricing; but perhaps it gives you somewhat of an idea of the price allowing you to bargain with wherever you decide to buy your TV.

On Fry's website they have the 700U for 2199 and the 77u for 1999. If you have a store near you, they will 'wheel and deal' also. This is a guaranteed reputible store.

Default Panasonic 58 inch

Two questions,

1) I am thinking of buying the 58 inch Panasonic plasma, model number TH58PZ700. It say it is 1080p. However I saw somewhere on another thread this week that it only accepts 1080i input and then internally converts it to 1080p. Does anyone have this set and use it with a PS3? Does it accept 1080p input?

2) Anyone have this plasma or something this size? What wall mount are you using? I'm been thinking of buying the Sanus VMDD26 mount. It says it can handle 175 lbs and the TV is 140 lbs. This mount extents from the wall 26 inches. How well does that work? In the back of my mind I can see a broken TV lying on the floor!

I know that the TV accepts and displays a 1080p/60i resolution. I know because I have the 50".

You can also ask Sonny, he has 189,154,126,354 1080p Panasonic plasmas.

yea it accepts 1080p input because I work at London Drugs in edmonton and I have it hooked up with the Sony BDPS300 (i think that's the model number) and the player is outputting 1080p and the tv accepts it and shows it so yea its all good.

also as for walmount, check the weight of the tv and see if it works with that sanus's acceptable weight. you can also try Vogels, they are a good wall mount company too. I have their mount hooked up with my panasonic 42in tv.
