My order for the trilogy is already shipping from Amazon. I could care less about extras. This is not a BIG Problem for me.

I will have a Spiderman triple feature in high def this weekend. Bring on the popcorn.

Bonus features to me are like bonus tracks on CD's, they are the leftover stuff that was left out for a reason.

I barely have enough time to enjoy a movie let alone the "bonus features"

Default I think this is a little hypocritcal

For those of you who mentioned that the HD-DUD version of Transformers did not have a PCM track (which most of us did), then you can't say that leaving off the special features on a BD (where space is-a-plenty) is fine.

We went Blu to get the best of all worlds--best PQ, best AQ and have enough space left over for the other crap that's available on the DVD version. Yes, it is crap but if it's available why not put it in?!

Maybe its just me but I hardly ever watch extra, and if I do watch it I was bored in 5 minutes and I turn it off. The PQ and SQ is what's important to me, the main reason I get into Hi-Def. I did pre-ordered the Spider Trilogy.

i dont care about that...the reason is because we all saw the supplements on the dvd....nothing would be new...and since 'most' pple are not really really interested in the extras...sm1 and 2 i think dont really need it.most pple are interested in the sm3..wanna see how they do it,,,wanna see sand man special effects etc etc etc...

and as a gift...sm3...supplements are in 1080p

This is a very compimentary review in which he makes clear where he was giving it lesser marks soley because of the absence of "extras" on the first two films. Anybody with a problem with the review because supposed anti-Blu-ray or anti-Spiderman "bias" probably needs to step back and chill.

I'm with the majority here, I don't care about extras, however, I do think they should have included them for those who enjoy or actually use them.

On a side note...what is with the fourth disc bonus features? What does that include?! Wouldn't those be the features everyone is talking about, or do those extras only come from spidey 3?

Hey,

I have parts 1 and 2 on DVD in collectors editions with extras that I've never bothered to watch. I'm not generally into extras. And I know that these DVD's have almost no re-sale value because I've tried to trade them back in already and they are only worth a dollar or so as trade ins.

However,.. I believe parts 1 and 2 will come out on Blu Ray as seperate releases with all the extras like part 3 is currently packaged. So,.. if you want to wait you can have special editions of all 3 films if that's what you would prefer.

I've never watched supplements on any DVD or Blu-Ray. I just think it's a waste of time..

Where did you get this info? If this is true, I'll just buy the Spider-Man 3 Blu-ray stand-alone. I need to know!

personally I'd rather see a good picture than extras. The UK version of spideys also don't have the extras, except spidey 3. not a concern for me.

Well I wasn't a great fan of the first movie, haven't seen the second, but I'll pick up the third as it appears a great package.

I'll buy the other movies when they're eventually released as special editions.

Amen. The main reason I chose Blu-ray is because it has a larger storage capacity than HD-DVD. I just don't see any reason why that neglected to put the supplements (in HD) on the BD-50 Dual Layer Disc, other than save them for a possible Spider-man High Definition Trilogy 2.0. And that...that is just plain wrong.

As most of you guys stated, I would like to support Blu-rau sales after the Transformers killer sales. But c'mon, Sony needs to step their game up.

DarkSpectre,

I don't have confirmation. But,.. Since Spiderman 3 is available seperatly and it's also going to be given away alone with lots of PS3's.. it follows that lots of people will end up at first just owning the third movie. Sony is going to want to market the other two films to those people in particular.

I believe you will see individual releases of the other two films but don't have any confirmation, sorry.

Well screw this! I bought into Blu-Ray for extras! Not quality! It makes me so angry when they devote an entire disc to a film to make sure it's the highest quality ever! That's where DVD got it right, they needed to continue compressing movies to fit on the features! I think 2 hour long movies should take up no more than 2gb's! And then for DVD, make the features take up the other unused 5-6gb!!!
