Universal on several of their last HD-DVD's used the same masters for their Blu-Ray counterparts, so it would not surprise me in the least that they would simply recycle the same master and call it a day.

How go it will look regardless of price will depend on their overzealous use DNR and EE.

I am freaking out for this to have this!!!! But unfortunately i have to keep the Steve Martin Franchise Collection DVD due to two films that aint on bluray yet. The film isnt really a visual powerhouse but i crave to listen to the 40's esque score n the classic line "You mean i'm gonna stay this color" in lossless soundtrack! a 1080p picture just sweetens the deal

Universal being Universal, my expectations are low, but I love this movie too much to ignore this release completely.

Fingers crossed that this is a Blues Brothers-quality transfer and not an "almost every other great comedy Universal owns"-quality transfer.

I've been waiting on this one for a while, so obviously it will be a Day 1 buy. Can't pass on classic comedies like this one.

This is great news. I can finally upgrade from my HD DVD copy to the blu-ray version. It's too bad it wasn't released last year as part of Uni's 100th Anniversary collection. And this will be a great early birthday gift to me from me
