Particularly yes to the bolded titles.

I really hope Disney decides to release a box set with all of the shorts, or at least the best of the best.

The animated ones we still seem to be missing are:
  • 101 Dalmatians
  • Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad
  • Aladdin
  • Black Cauldron
  • Fun and Fancy Free
  • Hercules
  • Jungle Book
  • Make Mine Music
  • Melody Time
  • Saludos Amigos
  • Tarzan
  • Three Caballeros

Definitely one of the more memorable Disney villains from my youth, though I'm not quite sure if she could hold her own against the Big Four of female Disney villains: Maleficent, Cruella, Ursula, and Snow White's Queen.
Well if you want to get technical, her shapeshifting abilities are on par with Maleficent's, whereas the Queen has no actual power besides magical knowledge, Cruella is a very scrawny woman (look at the waist of her!) and Ursula, despite her impressive appearance, is not truly physically dangerous until she gets hold of Triton's trident.
So in a fight between the four of 'em, I'd give Mim a fair chance.

Sword in the Stone and Robin Hood on the same day . Looking forward to getting these both. Two of my childhood favorites!

Well, 101 Dalmations and Jungle Book will be Platinum editions, no?

Jungle Book is currently scheduled as the Spring 2014 Diamond title.

We are getting this and Robin Hood on the same day?! Wow, seriously couldn't be happier with this news! I just hope that we won't be talking about poor transfers once these come out because these are two of my most beloved childhood films. Can't wait!

Plus, I imagine we'll see the "The Return of Jafar", "Aladdin and the King of Thieves" plus "101 Dalmations II: Patch's London Adventure" at some point too.

You know, major props to Disney for concentrating on their "Silver Era" catalog, really! But what's bothering me so much is that there's still no release date for two of my favorite Disney movies..

Tarzan & Hercules..
Seriously, I love both so much. My Disney Renaissance list goes (in terms of how I like 'em, not how I judge their quality):
[Show spoiler]- The Little Mermaid
- Pocahontas
- Aladdin
- Hercules
- Tarzan
- The Lion King
- Mulan
- Beauty and the Beast
- Rescuers Down Under

Yeah, I'm assuming within a month or two of the original releases, we'll get the sequels. Same with The Jungle Book 2.

Robin Hood, Sword in the Stone, Oliver and Company, and Pooh in August? Keep them coming, Disney! Maybe release Tarzan and Hercules in October?

  • The Jungle Book - Diamond Edition for February
  • Frozen - mid/late March
  • Hercules (Zero to Hero combo if remembered?) and Tarzan/Tarzan II combo in mid March
  • 101 Dalmations/101 Dalmations II combo in August OR Sp '15 Diamond
  • Aladdin - Diamond Edition for October
  • The Black Cauldron - October (for Halloween!)
  • The Jungle Book 2 in November
  • Return of Jafar/King of Thieves Combo pack - November
  • Pinocchio and Sleeping Beauty Diamond Editions (2015)
Not sure why Pinocchio or Sleeping Beauty would be re-released in Diamond Editions, but I hope for a shorts set.

I have all of the Classic Cartoon Favorites on DVD and a ton of shorts on VHS, so I'd like them in Blu-ray.

Haha, good points, all of 'em.

I guess I wasn't really imagining a "fight" between the characters so much as the five of them sharing drinks and battle stories in a dimly lit bar.

The main four are so aesthetically impressive and iconic, I guess that's where I feel Mim falls short. Kind of a "You can't sit with us!" moment.

"On tuesdays, we kidnap princesses."
"Two for Maleficent, three for Gaston Coco.. you go, Gaston Coco! And none for Madam Mim, bye."
Cruella to Maleficent: "So if you're from Germany, then why are you green?" Ursula: "Oh my god Cruella, you can't just ask people why they are green."

Mim: "I can be beautiful, lovely and fair.." (The song from the movie)
Evil queen: "So you agree. You think you're really pretty."

Mim: "WE SHOULD TOTALLY JUST STAB BAMBI!"

I just watched both for the first time recently. Hercules was just ok to me, but I was surprised with Tarzan, way better than I expected going in. Aside from a few bad songs, the story was really good.
