I used to think Disturbia was the best movie ever and I watched it 3 times in a row.

I wish. When I go to College in August I will be able to though, the movie theatre is 15-20 minutes away by bus.

I saw The Dark Knight twice in the same day. I saw it a second time after being so underwhelmed the first I wanted to see if I missed something. Nope, still underwhelming after the fantastic Batman Begins. I also saw all three Star Wars prequels at midnight showings and then later in the afternoon for the same reasons and got the same results.

I did the same thing for Matrix Reloaded

Never double dipped on a disappointment ... I feel like that needs its own category . Ha.

Not quite. I saw Phantom Menace 4 times opening day, and that was after already seeing it on both the Saturday and Sunday before at special advance screenings.

Are you sure it didn't just feel like you were sitting through it four times?

I am always baffled at people who think this. Begins was a decent flick, but with a lame choice of villain(s) that held the movie back. Dark Knight was far superior, but only due to Ledger's absolutely brilliant iconic performance as The Joker. Without the whole lame Two-Face thing tagged on, it would be a near perfect flick.

The only thing about The Dark Knight that I really like is the treatment of the villains. Otherwise, I think it's terrible.

As for the original topic, I think I saw Burton's Sweeney Todd twice in one day: once on my own and then again later that night when my dad expressed interest in watching it.

Romero's "Dawn of the Dead". 3 times in a row. The "Ultimate Edition" DVD set has 3 different cuts (US Theatrical, Extended Version, and European Version), so I watched them backtobacktoback.

"Saving Private Ryan" - First time I saw it, I was so blown away, I re-watched it right after I finished it.

I forgot. When my ex girlfriend broke up with me, I watched Half Nelson over and over again because it always made me feel good about myself for some reason.

I love this movie.

I did it to a few movies. Off the top of my head. In theaters.

Spider-man 3 midnight, then about 4pm later that day

The Dark Knight Midnight then about 8pm later that night
good times

As for home viewing believe it or not never

I've watched a movie more than once in a day a few times, those films being GoodFellas, Pulp Fiction, Jurassic Park, Star Wars, and BASEketball.

BASEketball
Hackers
Disturbing Behavior
Top Gun
Kill Bill Vol 1
Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure

There have been others. Now I need time alone to think about this.

Same. It was so impactful I couldn't get it off my mind and had to watch it again.

Tim Burton's Planet of the Apes. I was a big fan of the original series and at that time Fox was always promising a film, but it never came to fruition until 2k1. Sat thru it twice opening day. Although the story was not good, I still think it captures the spirit of the original series far better than the new reboot and enjoy it much more.
