Oh, lord, do the Canadians LOVE to rub the War of 1812 in the US and UK's faces.
The only time in history they ever kicked any other countries' hinders, let alone both (the only time both sides were ever that incompetent) and they won't shut up about it--The battle of Lundy's Lane is treated like Bunker Hill, and is considered to have first created the (obnoxious) Canadian national identity, but do you ever hear US blather on about ours that much?
(Granted, there's been three or four PBS/History Channel documentaries in the last couple years for the bicentennial, all of them Canadian, and all of them in the vein of "Nyah, nyah, Bush-heads, who's singing South Park songs now? "...Oh, shut freakin' UP already, Gordon Lightfoot! )

This almost literally sounds like some SCTV parody of 300: "We are ONTARIO!!!!"

Leprechaun: Origins Gets a Trailer, Will Head Direct to DVD & VOD

Leprechaun's search for gold and bloodshed will not be seen on the big screen. Rather, he'll resume his reign of terror on DVD and VOD when Leprechaun: Origins arrives on August 26th (VOD) and September 30th (DVD/Blu-ray). So much for that rumored "big screen return," eh? (Somewhere, Warwick Davis cackles at this.)

WWE Studios and Lionsgate are handling distribution and, this morning, EW has debuted the trailer which you can watch here.

Zach Lipovsky directs this entry which is said to be a more serious take on the horror icon. The film concerns some couples backpacking in Ireland who "quickly discover the idyllic land is not what it appears to be be when [a] town’s residents offer the hikers an old cabin at the edge of the woods. Soon, the friends will find that one of Ireland’s most famous legends is a terrifying reality."

Hornswoggle plays the malicious creature and look for Brendan Fletcher (Freddy vs. Jason, Ginger Snaps​), too!

I mean...it looks like a lot of other horror films, but it does look decent as well. I don't mind at all that the humor is not there as I was not a fan of the original series in the first place.

It being straight to BD isn't surprising it was always a straight to BD/DVD movie.

Would have liked to have gotten a look at him in the trailer though. Hopefully it's not one of those movies that hides him until the very end or even the whole movie with little glimpses.

I think that trailer is just a teaser but I wouldn't be surprised if they made everyone wait until the final 30 mins to see the horny lil bastard leprechaun

They will probably promote it on WWE closer to the home video release.
